Windows 10 update cab file Installer.
location:

Problems with Windows 10 Updates are an ongoing issue now.
and the possible solution to overcome this is by downloading the updates manually from the Microsoft®Update Catalog or using tools like WHDownloader (formerly Windows Hotfix Downloader)
The issue is that some times the packages will be CAB files and that's when the normal users won't be having an option about what to do next. Thus, to tackle this issue, I have managed to make a tiny program which will indeed help to Install those Cab file packages in windows without any troubles.
The program is in the attachment.

'Windows Update' (win7) blocked by Windows 10 update
location:
7forums.com - date:

Hi,
I've got a problem with my Windows 7 pro. Like many others I received the Windows 10 reservation icon a while ago. I reserved Win 10 pro and it started downloading one day.
Now Windows 10 is fully downloaded and it offers me to update the OS.
But I don't want to update immediately - I'd like to wait some time before upgrading, to make sure that all my hard- and sofware works fine and that the biggest issues are fixed before I upgrade.
Unfortunately my 'windows update' seems to be blocked by the windows 10 update. I can't search for other updates as the system tells me that I have to restart the computer and apply that (win10) update first, prior searching for further updates (for win7).
I canceled the windows 10 reservation with no su

Windows 10 update to 1511, 10586 freezes
location:
8forums.com - date:

Windows 10 update to 1511, 10586 freezes at "Preparing to install updates 32%".
When this happened I did a search and followed the following:
ran
net stop wuauserv
net stop bits
Restarted and tried deleting all in c:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution but some wouldn't, so..
Restarted, stopped the above processes and successfully deleted all under c:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution
Reran the update.
"Checking for updates" took 10 minutes and then it stopped with "There were some problems ...."
Clicked Retry and off it went for about 35 minutes until freezing on "Preparing to install updates 32%" once again.
I left it for another hour but no change to 32% (in fact its still there now)

Display issues after February 2016 Windows 10 update.
location:
8forums.com - date:
February 15, 2016
So, my system was working fine up until the WIN 10 updates dropped last week, now I'm having positively maddening display issues that I can't seem to resolve with updated drivers, etc. Basically, what I'm getting is:
SUPER sluggish response on the desktop: i.e. move an icon, wait for it to manifest; drag a selection box, equally delayed and choppy regeneration, etc. Like 5+ seconds, ghosting you have to wipe with a window, and whatnot.Open windows not populating with visible content, white or just plain transparent to the desktop when opened. Glitchy blocks as you drag them around. But oddly enough, things like my usual software and the browsers are unaffected (unless you go to save that is) inside their receptive interfaces. I'm

Scrolling on mouse pad doesn't work with Windows 10 update
location:

Hello everyone! I updated to Windows 10 this morning, and after doing so realized that my side scrolling on my mouse pad (I'm on a laptop) doesn't work anymore. Googled, found out it was a driver issue, and went to download the correct driver.
However, acer aspire drivers don't have the touchpad driver updated for Windows 10 yet. Do I have to wait until the driver comes out to fix this issue? If so, any idea how long that could take? (They have the important drivers updated already, those for bluetooth and wifi)

Windows 10 & XP dual boot. Best way?
location:
8forums.com - date:

Hi,
I have a PC running Windows 7 only at the moment. I want to end up with it running Windows XP (as default) and Windows 10 as a dual boot. What's the best way?
I have an unused XPx64 installation disc and I have used "Windows 10 CreationToolx64.exe" (from MS):
Windows 10
to create an iso file for Windows 10. I want to end up with a clean Windows 10 installation, not an upgrade (which I read is possible, at least after installing).
Normally, I would install XP over the top of the current Windows 7 installation (removing the latter in the process) then install Windows 10, but I suppose I need Windows 7 there to be able to install Windows 10 from the iso file (burned onto a DVD of course). The Windows 10 disc I crea

Windows 10 Redstone: Continuum to be big focal point
location:
8forums.com - date:
October 30, 2015
Windows 10 “Threshold 2” is almost ready. With final tests hopefully beginning next week (I’m told it won’t be launching November 2nd now, more on that here), Microsoft has begun focusing on its next planned update for Windows 10, codenamed Redstone and coming in the summer of 2016. Redstone is set to be a much larger update compared to Threshold 2, incorporating a number of new features and user-experiences which will enhance Windows 10.
Redstone for the most part is still being drawn up internally, which explains why so few details regarding the update have leaked. There are however a few plans already on the table, features such as extensions for Microsoft Edge are expected to arrive with Redstone after b
