Low Volume After Windows 10 Update
location:
microsoft.com - date:
August 13, 2015
Every since I updated to Windows 10 my volume has been unbearably low. I have tried updating the drivers from the original manufacturer as well as using windows update but nothing seems to work. I have come to the conclusion that Windows 10 is not ready
for prime time yet unless someone can explain to me how to repair the broken audio. If not, I have no choice but to return to Windows 8.1. Please advise.

Recent Windows 10 Update & Security updates seemingly "stuck"
location:
winsecrets.com - date:
November 8, 2015
For a month or more now, I have had three Windows 10 updates stuck in the queue uninstalled. I know they say they will get installed eventually, but one is a Cumulative Update for Windows 10, and the other two are four two network printers I have and after all of this time they are getting to be quite a matter of concern. Is there any way of making them install (I've tried to install them multiple times) or deleting them from the queue, or should the finally get resolved SOMETIME in the future? Suggestions, please?

Does Windows 10 handle USB problems better than Win 7?
location:
winsecrets.com - date:
October 8, 2015
My Windows 7 machine has some issues with USB devices. First, it does not always recognize my KVM switch. Sometimes it fails after updates, sometimes randomly. I have no solution for this except I am glad I have a solid state hard drive, SSD card, as my C: drive.
Second, if a flash memory card, like an SD card, is in the card reader when I start up, Windows 7 fails to start up. Sometimes I forget to remove it before shutting down, so my solution is to not to forget to remove my SD card from my card reader.
It would be nice if the task bar notification area would have the USB disconnect icon visible when a USB Device is plugged in. I use external hard drives for backup which I disconnect between uses.

No ethernet after latest Windows 10 update
location:
8forums.com - date:
December 11, 2015
I no Ethernet, but I do have wireless. Everything was functional on the 9th November, and messed up after the 10 November update. I checked everything, and the pcs running Windows 10 don't have Ethernet but my Windows Server 2012r2 has Ethernet just fine. I had XFINITY check everything on their end. I tried Winsock reset several times but no change.
Any suggestions or ideas? This happened on one of the builds before, and it seemed after a lot of hem- hawing they fixed whatever they did.

I downloaded the 2.7 GB Windows 10 update. After which I was required to restart the PC. On restarting I am again being asked to download the same 2.7 GB Windows update file. What could be the reason and how can I avoid downloading it again.
