Your Windows 10 Update May Actually Be Ready

This morning (update Tuesday) I was checking my systems to launch the updates and as I always do, I checked the Windows 10 Update App and it said my update was 'almost' there.
Well after all of today's updates were done, I went into the Windows 8 Update status in the Windows 8 Settings. It said there were no updates. But then I click on view and sure enough all the updates were done.
But I noticed that there was a greyed-out entry for Windows 10 Pro Update. Out of curiosity, I clicked on the 'More Details' and up popped a screen saying it can only be installed from the desktop. So I clicked on it and up came the desktop Control Panel with Windows 10 Pro Upgrade ready for installation!!!!
I checked this on three different

Beware Windows 10 upgrade -- may be worse than people are saying
location:
winsecrets.com - date:
November 22, 2015
When Windows 10 was offered as a free upgrade to my Window 7 home desktop, I looked to tech writers for advice, especially the Windows Secrets columnists, and I did what they suggested was the sensible thing by waiting until the 2nd week of October to do the upgrade, giving Microsoft a chance to iron out some wrinkles. I'll get to my problems in a moment, but the main point I want to make is this --
Yesterday, having reached the limit of my frustration, I went into my local computer shop to see what could be done. I'd hardly opened my mouth to say that I'd bought my computer from his shop and did an upgrade to Windows 10 than he cut me off and said, "You don't have Internet and sound, right?" That's not exactly my problem, but I

Tera - it may actually be worth it

Been playing this for about a week now. So far I'm very impressed with the combat system which IS different from any other mmo I've ever played.
Namely with timing and positioning you can actually dodge attacks, not everything is decided by ridiculous mathematical equations.
Graphics are good to great as well. Many of the other things work the way you expect a mmo to work. One major exception is you can master all forms of crafting/ production with any character. You aren't limited to just one or two. You are also able to gather all forms of resource, even if you are a low level you have a possibility of gathering high level resources (it may take 30 tries though) Instead of completely locking you out of them like many other mmo's I have

My Windows 10 Update Issues
location:
winsecrets.com - date:
July 30, 2015
I got the Windows 10 update and created the ISO disk. The update was a serious issue because Windows could not determine if my PC was ready for the install; so I started over, got the same message. My laptop is a Toshiba Satellite Pro A665 and it meets the criteria. All the Windows updates were done prior to the install. The first time I installed I forgot to disable my a/v & anti-malware, so that bust could have been my fault; I uninstalled them..still no luck. I also cleared out all the prior Windows Updates before starting over hoping that the mess would be fixed and the update would work, but Windows could not decide if my PC was ready for the installation. I should have just gone back to 8.1 that was working just fine, but....

Nasty Surprise #1: The 44% Bug
Users have been reporting installation issues with Threshold 2 and a common topic spotted by InfoWorld is that it gets stuck at the 44% mark. User Waseemulla S asked about this in the official Windows Forum and Microsoft moderator Softie Anannya Podder explained it may be to do with SD card issues:
“We’ve observed that some devices that have an SD bus with an SD card inserted while installing the Windows 10 November update will stop responding at 44%, and we are currently investigating the issue.”

Windows 10 update "successful" but laptop unuseable.
location:
winsecrets.com - date:
August 7, 2015
I updated my laptop (a Sony Vaio VPC CW2S1E/R) to Windows10 (from 8.1) yesterday. I started the process at about 18:30, and at about 20:00 it appeared to have installed without error messages and invited me to choose "let's go".
I got to my usual lock screen, pressed a key talking me to the fancy new Windows 10 screen for entering the password, and it then took me to the desktop. (Oddly, perhaps, it was the desktop version - not the metro version or anything like it; no tiles, just icons for apps.) The screen flickered on and off, and the icons variously appeared as the proper icon, or just as document placeholder icons. The mouse moved the cursor - the rotating circle meaning busy (like the old hourglass). The only key combinatio

Hi Guys
A few questions....
Could someone please clarify, Will windows 10 update provide a product key for clean install?
If so how/where?
If not when performing a clean install, will skipping the product key prompt, then activating once desktop appears automatically activate and inject a product key?
Lastly rather than extract the esd file, does anyone know where to get a genuine Microsoft iso's on release date?
Any help appreciated.
Kind Regards

Microsoft Has Your Encryption Key If You Use Windows 10http://tech.slashdot.org/story/15/12/29/0212222/microsoft-has-your-encryption-key-if-you-use-windows-10
From the post:
An anonymous reader writes with this bit of news from the Intercept. If you login to Windows 10 using your Microsoft account, your computer automatically uploads a copy of your recovery key to a Microsoft servers. From the article: "The fact that new Windows devices require users to backup their recovery key on Microsoft's servers is remarkably similar to a key escrow system, but with an important difference. Users can choose to delete recovery keys from their Microsoft accounts – something that people never had the option to do with the Cl

Windows 10 update, Nvidia Update, Automatic Repair loop
location:
8forums.com - date:
August 12, 2015
Argh! Need help!
Windows 10 installed and have an Nvidia grfx card which caused a problem with the driver which I managed to get round. Been using Windows 10 quite happily, until today.
PC crashed not long after boot. Last thing I remember seeing was a notification from NVidia control panel saying new optimized settings had been downloaded for a game... a short time later the computer, which was sitting idle, encountered a critical error and rebooted.
I am now stuck in a perpetual diagnosis/automatic repair loop. None of the safe boot options work and can't reset (keeping files) either.
I am not a technical person and am at a loss as to what to do :-(
