Hey all, I am running aDell XPS 8100 with Windows 7 64bit. I have 8 GB RAM and Radeon 5770 graphics card and a 1TB hard drive. My problem occurs when i play a High Def Movie (1920x1080) from a file on my computer. It starts to play fine but if I go to fast forward or jump to a different section of the movie it freezes and after a few seconds i get: "your computer is running low on memory. quit other programs and then try again. windows media player" After that all i can do is shut down Windows Media Player and choose something with less resolution. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any support. Much appreciated! Johnny

I tried to run a DVD through WMP that had been working fine last night and I all got this error message. I am running Windows 7 64-bit with 8gbs of ram and the resource manager says that I have over five gigs of memory free. I also checked the page file and it is set to 8gbs and there is far more than that free on the hard drive. I tried using the command window to register the .dll but it comes up saying the module failed to load.

I recently just purchased a computer (less than a Month ago).  I am using Windows 7, and Windows Media Player 11.  When trying to play video files in WMP I get an error message that says your computer is running low on memory. This cannot be, as the computer has 244GB HD free space and has 2GB RAM.  I have tried to fix it, still get the same problem.  Can anyone help?????

Hi all, Just need to *disable* that warning above and any actions Windows takes because of it. I am NOT low on RAM as Windows indicates, I am only using 3 out of the 4 GB I have. I refuse to use a page file as I have no need to slow my system down to appease Windows. I truly LOVE Windows 7 Ultimate, and since I switched to the official release last August, has provided me with zero issues. I do not, however, appreciate Windows killing my applications when I hit the archaic 75% RAM utilization mark. I have 4 1GB sticks, if I only wanted 3GB, I only would have put in 3GB...
