Is there any way I can recover my password or will I need to reinstall Windows 8?

Windows XP system restore no administrator password

im trying to perform a system restore or re installation with XP home edition when i put it in the second screeen asks to boot from cd so i go through that blue screen were it loads the disk then i get the option of continue repair or exit i press repair
and it goes to a black screen and asks what to repair i type 1 for C drive then it asks for administrator password and i dont know where we would get it or if we have on and when i type something it says invalid command type HELP for list of commands does
anyone know what is the correct command or where to get administrator password from.

How can I recover Windows XP without Boot Disk?

I have a Compaq NW8240 with Windows XP Business with Service Pack 3.
The Laptop PC will not boot. It give me the ability to enter BIOS and the hard drive is there and passes BIOS Tests.
I have a CD that allows me limited access to the hard drive (a type of DOS Boot).
All the files are still on the disk. I believe that the boot record is missing or damaged.
I do not have boot disks or recover disk for this notebook PC.
Is there a way to create or download a boot disk that will allow me to correct the problems on my hard drive?

I have a new laptop at home that has windows xp sp 2 installed. I am trying to connect to my wireless network.
I keep getting the following error;
The network password needs to be 40bits or 104bits depending on your network configuration. This can be entered as 5 or 13 ascii characters or 26 hexadecimal characters.
I gave my dad a new laptop this fall and he gave me this one that his friend had given him... I have never worked with XP Pro...
We have several other laptops on this wireless account at home.

Windows 7 on Windows XP.. not allowing domain logon

hi..
yesterday system administrator in my group installed Windows 7 on our PC(we share a single PC) which had XP earlier.. and this PC is on our University domain...issue is I can login to Windows 7 using the domain acccount.. but when I tried to login to XP, I receive a message saying that this system is not on the network or the domain is not available.. I logged in to XP using local account and can see that the system is hooked up to University domain, and both XP and Windows 7 versions have same computer name..........
what could be the reason for this???
Im unable to get in otuch with the admin who installed Windows 7, coz he works night shifts and another admin can't figure out..

i have a old windows xp tower that i wanna get pictures from when i was younger off of it but the administrator account has a password on it and i cant for the life of me remember what it is. there is no guest accounts either. any ideas how i can break
the password or bypass it?
