How can I find out what version of windows 8 I am running

Hi, I upgraded from windows 7 to 8; I'm happy with it, but I also downloaded office 2013 preview before that. I want to know what version windows I have and if I have got office 2013in the install, or if I need to purchase that later. Anyone able to help?? Thanks Mark

Reading around, it seems the state of things at Microsoft has changed drastically since W10 was announced. Most frighteningly they changed the name of the updater and left this article to depreciate https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/949104 "Note The latest version of the Windows Update Agent for Windows 8.1 is 7.9.9600.16422. How to find out the driver version of an already installed printer?

I recently plugged in an USB Kyocera laser printer into my Windows 7 notebook and a printer driver was installed automatically. Fine. How can I find out now the exact driver version of this printer? When I go to Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Devices and Printers and right click on the installed printer icon and select "printer properties" from context menu then I find NOWHERE a tab with the printer driver version number. How else can I find it out? Peter

How can I learn Visual Basic 6.0 for XP and or whatever version Windows 7 has? I have MSFT Office 2000 and I also use MSFT Office Standard 2007 on computers at a non-profit organization I volunteer at. I like to create Macros and I would like to learn how to use Visual Basic. My XP computer shows I have MSFT VB 6.0. At the office I volunteer at they have 2 Vista & 2 XP computers. I do not know what VB versions they have. However, I plan on buying a Windows 7 computer sometime in 2013 and I’d like to have the office buy new Windows 7 computers also. Windows 8 can be considered but that needs to be determined.

How do I find out if my Laptop's tracpad supports windows 8 gestures before hand?

I own a Dell Inspiron 5520 currently running Windows 7 and I'd like to know if my tracpad supports the edge swipe gestures or if i could update the drivers or something to make it work before i upgrade. If i cant then ill purchase a Logitech t650 or some equivalent but id like to know before i upgrade so i wont have to go a week without proper gesture support. I also notice that the tracpad itself is not flush with the 'palm rest plate thing.' Im worried thie may interfere as ive heard complaints about touchscreens where the screen is not flush with the bezel and it makes the edge gestures rather difficult or simply impossible.

How do I re-install my valid version of Windows XP and remove Windows 8 Consumer Preview?

I am running Windows XP and I would like to back up my files and cannot figure out how to do it. I have been all over the help site. Also, i have DVD-R to back-up to, do I need to formatt?
