windows xp how to find out mac address

I'm using Outlook Express mail in Windows XP. How can I change the 'READ' from West Euro (ISO) to (Windows)? (ISO is default, NO selecttion option)

I'm using Outlook Express mail in Windows XP. The Hebrew characters of the sender name and subject show as ??? and often the message body appears in giberish (I assume it's ASCII). My 'READ' International setting is Western Euro (ISO), it is grayed out and I have no option to change it to Western Euro (Windows), (no optional drop down). My 'send ' is OK, I had the choice and it's set to (windows).   [Moved from Internet Explorer]

My windows 8 will not recognise my external device (Satnav) which is 18 months old and was registered on my windows XP. How can I enable its recognition on windows 8 so that I can update the maps?

Ive tried to download software to enable the satnav to be recognised by my new computer system but it doesn't work. I got as far as clicking on 'Install' , a message window opened saying "please wait one moment", nothing happened and I waited 1/2 an hour but the message remained on the screen and nothing else happened. I tried the process several times without any success. Does this mean that I am not going to be able to update my satnav maps?

I am trying to update my windows xp home edition 2003 32-bit with all the updates that it needs but there are so many of them and i am not sure where to start or which one to do first, I know i need to update to service pack 2, and then service pack 3, I have a out of date browser Explorer 6 out of date drivers also then ofcourse there is the Anti-virus which I think i have updated most of but not really sure. Can anyone help with what to download first then give some kind of order that the downloads need to be in and where to find the right ones since I do not have support for Automatic updates.

How do I find out if my Laptop's tracpad supports windows 8 gestures before hand?

I own a Dell Inspiron 5520 currently running Windows 7 and I'd like to know if my tracpad supports the edge swipe gestures or if i could update the drivers or something to make it work before i upgrade. If i cant then ill purchase a Logitech t650 or some equivalent but id like to know before i upgrade so i wont have to go a week without proper gesture support. I also notice that the tracpad itself is not flush with the 'palm rest plate thing.' Im worried thie may interfere as ive heard complaints about touchscreens where the screen is not flush with the bezel and it makes the edge gestures rather difficult or simply impossible.

Parallels on MAC, Windows XP, cannot print or find my printer.
