Hey everyone!! So far no real issue's to report running Windows 10 I really love it but here is my issue. Windows update has been stuck at 45% for the last 3 hour's and usually my updates go pretty quick. I've tried rebooting my system to see if the updates will finish installing but then it goes right back to 45% and stay's there. Any idea's as to what may of happened?

Windows update stuck on 'installing 4 of 32' for nearly 2 hours.
location:

Hello everyone,
I hate updating my computer. It seem that every time I update bad things happen.
This evening I shut my laptop down allowing it to update. The blue screen is stating.... 'Please do not power off or unplug your computer, installing update 4 of 32'
It has been like this for best part of 2 hours. There has been very little activity from the hard drive LED. There is the revolving circle and moving '...' on the screen and they are active.
I am frightened to force it to shut down in case it wont start again as it is mid update.
Any advise would be great. Many thanks.
Paul

windows update stuck at 0%

Long story short, i just installed a clean copy of genuine windows 7 home premium. I let it update and what not but after coming back to look at the computer from awhile of being out, I realized it had been stuck on installing one of the updates (at least 20 had already been successfully installed). I figured i'd stop it and restart the comp and let it continue. Now it won't download any updates it just gets stuck at 0% everytime no matter what updates i pick. I'm using wireless internet but I even tried while it was connected straight up with the ethernet cable for optimum internet speed and still stuck at 0%. I've tried rebooting multiple times but still nothing. I am really trying to avoid having to reinstall the OS again

Just as the title says. It is stuck on 0%. I waited for 30 minutes but no changes.
Except for totally random BSOD caused by ntoskrnl.exe (SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED).
One thing which I noticed was that it still wanted me to install updates while shutting down my computer.

Windows Update stuck in preparing to install
location:
microsoft.com - date:
November 18, 2012
My Windows 8/64 installation doesn't seem to continue processing Windows updates.
For days now it endlessly displays the "Preparing to install" progress status without actually doing something...
Moreover, I don't seem to be able to abort this process. When I click the [Cancel installation] button, I get an
error message telling me that I need administrative privileges in order to cancel the installation. But Windows 8 doesn't provide an option to run Control Panel applets like Windows Update with administrative privileges!
Any help is appreciated.

Hi there. I recently bought a new laptop last week. It is a HP Probook 4545s. Now when I got it it seemed to update everything and run fine and I went ahead and installed window 8.1 which is where the problems started. It kept freezing and being completely
unresponsive apart from the mouse after a couple of mins after being turned on which required me holding down the power button to shutdown to fix. This happened everytime I started it up so after some digging for answers online I decided to refresh the laptop
hoping that would solve the problem. After I did this it was back on Windows 8 not 8.1 and the problems got worse. Once it booted up I went ahead to try and install the updates so I could proceed to installing 8.1 again but
