Rumor: Windows 8 Mosh UI to have “Windows Phone 7″-like Live Tiles
location:

Seems like the Windows 8 rumors are starting to roll in. PhoneArena claims it has found some clues that indicate what we”ll see in Windows 8.
Windows 8 is slated to fulfill Microsoft’s vision of “three screens and a cloud”, and will rely heavily on cloud services. There is to be dual-interface overlay, depending on what is Win 8 running on, and the tablet UI, codenamed Mosh, is speculated to feature big live tiles, similar to what Windows Phone 7 offers.

Windows Phone 8 POP E-mail client won't receive certain attachments
location:

I am new to Windows Phone 8 -- just got a Nokia 820 on an AT&T Upgrade and am learning, learning, learning all of the quirks, ways of doing things that are foreign to Windows users, and MS Office users. Outlook for Windows Phone is such the case as it is NOTHING like the Outlook in Windows Desktop OS. One can't even configure a POP account in Outlook Mobile: you're limited to Outlook-Exchange, Outlook.com accounts and Office 365. I don't even know what e-mail client they do use, but it seems no other e-mail apps are available or offered in the Windows Store or otherwise.
My main problem with this lame client is I cannot receive .DOC, .DOCX or .TXT attachments -- they just don't show. I can, however, attach a .PDF file and it show

4 new updates for Windows Phone 8
location:
winsecrets.com - date:
April 3, 2013
Just downloaded the latest 4 updates for Windows Phone 8. 3 were from Nokia regarding their Nokia Drive, Nokia Maps, and Nokia Transit.
The Nokia Maps update really got my attention! After installing I did a search for Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall, and it showed it (the mall) on the map. I zoomed in and it showed the first floor shops with an icon to take me to the second floor. Just for giggles I did a search for the Microsoft store in the mall, and it took me right to it. Next up was 5 guys burgers and again it took me right to it. Didn't have time to stop in though!!!!
Still playing with the enhancements in Nokia Drive, and Nokia Transit.
The 4th update was for facebook, and I will play with that one later.

Registry settings for the Windows 8 x86 Camera App
location:
microsoft.com - date:
March 11, 2013
I can't get Windows 8 x86 camera app to work on tablets when users can't access their network home folder and their pictures folder. These folders have been set to a network share using the "Folder Redirection" -group policy and this will not change. So
my question is this: How do I change the settings of the camera app so that it works when the tablets are not connected to network.
Also, if you have "Windows Components/Windows Explorer/Turn off Windows Libraries features that rely on indexed file data"-setting enabled, how do you access the libraries settings? What is the .msc for it?

Windows Phone 8

I sure am running into a lot of, really, good, favourable, enthusiastic reviews & articles on Windows Phone 8 phones. And, it doesn't seem to matter what brands, Nokia, HTC, et al. I'm not going to plug links in here, easy enough to find for yourselves.
But, yes, y'all can chip in (no pun intended) & get me one for Christmas.
Yep I sure do want a Win8 phone.
Cheers,
Drew

Windows Phone 7 Jump Start Training
location:
8forums.com - date:

Today we are publishing the first in our training content led by our MVPs. Rob Miles and Andy Wigley led an incredibly well received live training course about a month ago, focused on getting developers trained up on building amazing applications and games for Windows Phone 7. We recognize that providing as much technical content as we can for the full range of developers is what developers deserve. While we plan on having more live training sessions in the coming weeks and months, we are also committed to making that content available as quickly as possible to as many developers as possible. Since this round of content is based on Beta Windows Phone Developer Tools, we will not be localizing it. For our non-English speaking dev
