Facebook chat "no one online" on Windows 8, Windows Phone 7.8, Skype
location:

Ok, so everything was working fine, and yesterday i noticed first that on my Nokia Lumia 900 (windows phone 7.8) in messaging i was getting "no one is online". Then on Skype the same thing, everybody shows offline. After that i checked the people hub on
Windows 8, same thing, no one online. I don't know if facebook is changing the chat system and if this is happening only to me.. so any suggestions are welcomed. Thank You.

Windows 7 Pro Games Disappeared

I think some people who get Windows 7 Professional will be "confused"
Games are not enabled by default in Pro. You have to go to "Programs and Features" then "Turn Windows features on or off" and enable games from there in Professional.
For anyone's information who may be searching for information about why their computer has no games listed.

Can't search for text within certain apps either on PC or on Windows Phone: MS problem, or app developers?
location:

I am having a frustrating problem with both my Kindle and Nook apps, on my new Lenovo Y500 PC (Win 8 x64 home), and on my Windows 8 Phone (Nokia 822, Verizon). There is no way to search for text within the apps. I have tested the same apps on my granddaughter's
iPhone, and search is possible there. Amazon and Nook tell me that they can't provide search within the apps (these apps have DRM, so the Charms search won't find anything in them). Is there some limitation in the Microsoft OS that prevents the developers
from providing a search function in these apps? If so, how's it going to be fixed? They are useless without text search. If the problem lies with the developers, is there any way MS can facilitate the improvement of these apps (

Windows 8 and Games for Windows Live Client
location:

After the upgrade to Windows 8, will there be a new Games for Windows - Live client? I purchased games through that in the past, and I still want to play them. I figured the new Windows 8 "Games" app would give me access, but I cannot figure out how to
get them downloaded.
Do I still have to use the old GFWL client as I did in Windows 7?

Report: Verizon will have a new Nokia Windows Phone 8 device later this year | wpcentral | Windows Phone News, Forums, and Reviews
The main thorn in the crotch of Windows Phone has been the lack of Verizon's support. There's only one phone, the HTC Trophy, on Verizon. They've criticized the platform for not having LTE support, but apparently they're in the Windows Phone boat now. I'm pretty excited that Nokia's going to be part of Verizon because that means I can talk to my brother and see if I can add a line on his account and pay WAY less than my individual att account. This one was a good read. It's about the Jeckle and Hyde situation of apple and Samsung's trial. In closing argument, apple's lawyer

Windows phone?

So sprint has really let me down since we have moved and even though I enjoyed unlimited Data I only use at the most 1.8 GB a month and for $30 I get 3 GB with At&t. With signing a new contract means new phones and I am really looking at the HTC Titan running Windows 7.5, I think I would like it cause I loved my zune, it has slacker and the games on there look pretty fun.
So I have read so reviews on cnet and engadget.com and the editor's really did praise this mobile OS but in the comments under the article there is a lot of bashing it and I do not want to end up with another HTC HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 cause that phone was horrible so what is your all opinion. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsphon...2fdefault.aspx
