Google To Microsoft: Remove YouTube App From Windows Phone Store It is the battle of giants and video is at the center of their conflict.
No sooner did Microsoft update its YouTube app for Windows Phone, then Google — the parent company that owns the popular video sharing service — issued a cease and desist letter, instructing the software giant to remove the YouTube app from the Windows Phone Store.
Google has demanded that Microsoft remove the app within a week’s time.
“We request that you immediately withdraw this application from the Windows Phone Store and disable existing downloads of the application by Wednesday, May 22, 2013,” the Google letter to Microsoft read.

Synching Contacts with Windows Phone 7
location:
winsecrets.com - date:
January 15, 2012
I let myself get talked into replacing my Nokia phone with a new Windows Phone 7. Nokia has software (PC Suite) which I used to keep the address book on the phone synched with the Outlook 2010 Contacts. No such thing with this phone: instead I had to export my Contacts to a CSV file, then import them to Windows Live Mail and synch the phone with WLM. Not a clean procedure at all, and now I'm trying to clean things up.
I can't see a way, for instance, to get a single Contact from Outlook to WLM. WLM has no way to import a VCF file, for instance. Anyone got a suggestion?

Office 365 / SkyDrive / Windows Phone
location:

Well, after tossing around an outright purchase ($79) for OneNote, and or using 365. I decided to give 365 a shot. I downloaded it, and it installed right next to my already installed Office '07 Pro. and I can use either. I am using all of 365 now except Outlook, and I will get to that later.
After a short learning curve, (about 2 pots of coffee) I now can use OneNote, and Excel with the same ease as I have used Excel in the past.
OneNote, is a whole different story, as there is so much that nifty little program can do. It (OneNote) seems a little clunky to me, and I do get an error message on occasion after I have played an attached video file... I've posted that on the Forum. The only other thing that I have come across is that when I ope

Windows Phone 7 Mango Update - It's Epic!
location:

I'm using the beta of WP7 Mango to post this thread (mobile IE9). Simply amazing... Everything works very smoothly, no GUI lag. Its also great to see all my apps grouped and searchable! IE9 on here is by far the fastest mobile browser I've ever tried. To top it all off, Microsoft has apparently listened to WP7 devs and added a lot more APIs.

Synching contacts on Windows Phone 7.5
location:
7forums.com - date:
October 4, 2012
I have a problem synching my new Lumia 800 phone running WP7.5 with my primary Windows Live account which has the form
[email protected]
I can send and receive emails.
However, my contacts do not update although they must have synched initially because they were imported from my phone at the time I set up its primary Live Id. That is, neither new contacts on the phone nor in my contacts entered via my PC have synched. Thus I have two increasingly divergent sets of contacts, one on the phone and one stored in outlook.com.
Initially the error code on the phone was 86000108, but it is now 80070490 'Attention required'.
By the way, I also have a Googlemail account on the phone and this is synching without any problems.
I do wonder, however,

location:
8forums.com - date:
May 2, 2012
We have talked quite a bit about SkyDrive and using your Microsoft account for the sign-in and roaming capabilities of Windows 8. These are just two aspects of a broad service infrastructure that you can tap into when using Windows 8 (and Windows Phone, Xbox LIVE, and a host of other services and apps). We want to talk more about the capabilities and features of cloud services for Windows 8 and Windows Phone. To get started, Chris Jones, the VP of our Windows Live group responsible for the development and operations of all of the services and apps, authored this post to introduce the reimagined role of cloud services in Windows 8.
--Steven Windows Live was first announced on November 1st, 2005, and in our press release we de
