Love or hate windows 8 did you have a windows phone xxx POLExxx

I am a big fan of Windows 8, but after reading some negative comments on the forum and from some of the online journalists, I was wondering is it because I have had windows phone on my legendary HTC HD2 for some time, and even though I can duel boot into the latest version of android I tend to stick to WM7, so when I first tried win 8 it was a natural progression for me, so I thought a pole would be useful to find out if any Windows 8 haters had a win7 phone.

Windows Phone 7
location:

Does anyone here use a Windows Phone 7 smartphone? I recently got a carrier unlocked Samsung Focus on eBay. I also got a 3500 mAh battery (stock is 1500...). Microsoft really hit hard on the iPhone weaknesses with this! It allowed me to upload photos through mobile IE just as you would on a PC. Also I love how the browser seems to be able to multitask much better than mobile safari... Then there's autocorrect ... Hilariously embarrassing at times. Much better on WP7 (I used WP7 to post this )

Is there a way to emulate Windows Phone 8 applications on Windows RT?
location:
microsoft.com - date:
April 17, 2013
I have built a Windows Phone 8 application on my desktop which I would like to demonstrate to somebody outside of my home. I have a Surface RT and it would be fantastic if I could connect to to my desktop (one way or another) and target that device from
VS2012 as opposed to an emulator on my desktop. If not I'll have to consider borrowing a WP8 Phone, assuming you can install apps on there from VS2012 in the same way you can for Android from Eclipse.

Windows Phone 7 Series Click Noise for iPhone
location:
7forums.com - date:
March 27, 2010
I did a direct recording of the click noise used in the Windows Phone 7 Series emulator and made a Cydia package, so jailbroken iPhone and iPod Touch users can use it over the old stock noise. Search for "Windows Phone 7" in Cydia, and look for the click noise. There should be 2 of them (one from BigBoss, and one from ModMyI (recommended)). Install, activate in Winterboard, respring, and enjoy.

Windows Media Player (Windows 8) no longer plays DVDs after installing Windows Phone 8 SDK
location:
microsoft.com - date:
October 31, 2012
The Windows Media Player worked fine when it was first installed. However, after installing the Windows Phone 8 SDK, I now receive the error messsage:
"CANNOT PLAY DVD The DVD may be in use by another application. If all other applications are closed, the video resolution may need to be lowered or the display connection type may not support playback of the DVD."
I did a system restore (pre SDK installation) and I was once again allowed to watch DVD's. After reinstalling the SDK, I am experiencing the same error.
Another video player (VideoLAN) plays the DVD's correctly
