How do you access "help" for Windows 7 on your computer?
location:

OK here's a dumb question - I have an HP Pavilion Laptop. When I am at the desktop and push F1 for Help, which should bring up Windows 7 help, I get HP's "help" for my computer's features instead! HP apparently took over the key for their own use. When I go to Control Panel and click Help and Support, it again brings up HP's computer feature help.
What the heck???
How do I access built-in Windows 7 help? In XP I pushed F1 and got XP help. In Windows 95, same thing.
Does Windows 7 come without "help" installed on a person's computer or did HP actually have the nerve to snitch the key and use it for their own help??
(What I wanted to know was whether Windows 7 clipboard comes with the feature of saving multiple paste

Windows had detected your computer is running slow...

"Your desktop has been changed to basic."
I have contacted Microsoft (at least through a couple of minor sites) which just amounted to a pass around. On one I got a link to a discussion Microsoft's help forum. Mostly it was people finding workarounds and particular triggers that could be avoided. Others could find no particular triggers and all of the posters seemed to have tons of RAM and computing power.
I've read some of the relevant threads on this forum and I get the same impression. There really is just nothing that is to be found that corrects this situation. There is one common denominator. All the users had multiple monitors. I have eight monitors. I use them for online stock trading. I don't use any high speed calculat

Windows 10 for phones preview might come out this week
location:

Good news for everyone that’s anxiously waiting for the release of Windows 10 for phones technical preview, as Microsoft has hinted it might come out this week.
Back in January Joe Belfiore mentioned that a video highlighting the features coming to Windows Phones would be released in about two weeks. But that deadline has come and gone and many people have started to wonder where the video and the tech preview are.
Luckily, Gabriel Aul took to Twitter last night to dispel rumors and announced that the video would indeed be coming out later this week. However, and this where it gets interesting, he then went on to mention that they were saving the video to release it alongside the actual preview bui

original title:Keyboard frozen during "Advanced Boot Options" F8 -- tries to start Windows 7, but can only "Launch Startup Repair" after timing out--cannot repair
I think I'll start by giving the run-down of what I've tried:
Computer crashed last week, gave me the "2 beeps of death" upon startup Reinstalled a new motherboard (AS Rock 4COREDUAL socket 775) Computer finally restarts, BIOS working again (keyboard fully functional) Bios works great, but upon starting Windows 7 the keyboard locks up and will not let me choose anything but the "Launch Startup Repair" option (I cannot press Enter and it times out and goes into it by default)Have tried to boot from Windows installation disks but the startup up goes straight into "Laun

Why does Windows 8 System Builder come with no support? If someone wants to install Windows 8 on a computer that had non Windows OS why are they punished with no support ?
location:

Since there is no full version of Windows 8 only the upgrade or System Builder version; why is Microsoft punishing people that want to install it on a computer that had another OS with no support when they use to have a full version with support ?
