Recently upgraded my laptop to Windows 8.1 and I cannot see any 5Ghz wireless networks, even though they are present (I am able to successfully see and connect using other devices including a Windows 7 laptop). I can see 2.4 Ghz networks and connect no problem. I have upgraded the wifi driver to the latest Windows 8.1 version for the Intel Wireless-N 7260 card, v16.6.0.8 but no luck. Appreciate any thoughts or pointers.

Windows 8.1 messed up my wifi driver need to fix it ASAP!! Please Help

Hello I updated to Windows 8.1 and it screwed up my wifi driver, when I go to my wifi driver properties it gives me the error message saying my device is not installed properly or something (code 28). I have not messed with the hardware on this laptop at all and it was working perfectly fine until I updated to windows 8.1 so I know its some software issue. Also since updating my internet connection is extremely unstable, usually on limited connectivity and disconnects by itself I have tried to reinstall the driver, over and over again but nothing is fixing it, my computer has become useless to me at this point. Please Help!!!

Cannot see any wifi networks

I've been using my HP Pavilion DV6-2113SA for a long time, connecting with a LAN cable. I now need to use wireless but the HP doesn't see any wifi networks at all, let alone the one from my Brightbox router. I have wifi turned on and rebooted but Brightbox is only shown when cabled. there is nothing shown except my T-Mobile dongle (disconnected). I went into the router and SSID is enabled. The problem must be that NO networks are being shown at all. I know there about a dozen in this area as I can see them on my Asus Transformer and my wife also sees them in her netbook. I have tried updating drivers for wifi but it seems I already have the latest. Any help would be great please! Qualcomm Atheros AR928S 802.11b/g/n. Tried uninstalling a

Windows 8.1: WiFi dropping and/or "Limited"

Since installing 8.1 Pro, I'm having issues with WiFi dropping internet connectivity and always showing "Limited" when clicking on the system tray icon.  When I troubleshoot the problem using the system tool it is always the gateway that is faulty.  I have uninstalled/reinstalled the device drivers several times, installed the newest drivers directly from Intel, restarted the computer, etc.  I can restore connectivity by turning WiFi off then back on, but the connection will drop at what seems to be random intervals.  My applicable system specs are as follows; Lenovo Y510P  Laptop Windows 8.1 Pro Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2230 Apple Time Capsule router w/newest firmware

After installing Windows 8.1: Unstable WiFi download speed

Hello Eight-forums, Since I installed Windows 8.1, my download speed gets huge drops. My ping and upload speeds are fine, but only my download speed has problems. I am using a wireless network adapter: Asus PCE-N15. Before I installed Windows 8.1, I had no issues at all with it. I already tried installing different drivers and I am now using the latest version from the chipset maker Realtek (RTL8192CE-VA4 version 2007.12.419.2013). I installed it manually through the device manager. I also use the wireless connection 802.11 g, because my router is not compatible with n. I do think it is a software based problem, because the hardware is only 2 months old and worked fine on Windows 8. Other computers in my house don't have any insta

Wifi connections issues in Windows 8.1

I have a Packard Bell EasyNote TE that since I have up graded to windows 8.1 I have found that when I turn it on I will not always have a wifi connection. sometimes I can just get away with a restart or other times it is a complete turn off. Everything on my Laptop is saying that the WiFi is turned on but just no connection. Packard Bell think the Laptop might need to be returned but this seems a bit drastic to me.  Has any one else got any thoughts thanks.
