Hi everyone i bought myself a new laptop with a 1tb hdd and it has windows 8 installed. I understand the product key is encoded into the bios now and would like to know some basic things. What i want to know is if i remove the hard drive then plug it back
in will the product key automaticly register with the oem hard drive and still be activated in windows 8. The reason i ask this is because i want to put my 120gb ssd in the laptop and install my copy of windows 7 ultimate on it but would like the be able to
use the windows 8 hard drive again. The problem is im not sure if it will still be activted on that hard drive if i remove it and plug it back in.

How to easily remove Right Click > New items in Windows 8
location:
8forums.com - date:
January 23, 2013
I've used TweakUI since Windows 9x to easily remove Right Click New items, for example, all MS Office entries pictured below.
TweakUI 64-Bit does not work on Windows 8 and so-called Tweak software like Ultimate Windows Tweaker lack this feature. Programs such as ShellMenuView do not clearly display Right Click New items so you can easily disable them. They display general right click items - not Right Click > New items.
I have spent the entire morning and found only 1 (one) program that clearly displays Right Click New Items to be disabled but it is $30 (Windows 8 Manager) and I have no need for its other features, just to quickly and easily remove Right Click > New items so $30 is steep for that.
Does anyone know

Can I remove Windows 8 from one computer and install on the other?

Original Title: Could someone from Microsoft help me understand a thing, please?
Hello.
Could someone from Microsoft help me understand a thing, please?
I bought a win 8 pro using my activated vista oem. In the EULA it's stated that I can install it on another computer of mine with the condition to uninstall it from the first one. On April I intend to buy a new computer and judging from what I'm reading in
the Eula I will be able to install win 8 pro on it.
If I am right could you please explain me what the procedure will be?
- I have to install win vista (already certified) and after that win 8?
- Will I be able to make a clean install without any other win version and still activate it?
- Will I be able to activate

Remove windows 8 and revert back to windows 7
location:
microsoft.com - date:

I had installed a legal copy of win 8 on my laptop for evaluation and decided that win 8 was suitable for my main desktop. Purchased a license and installed on the desktop where things were fine for several weeks. However after a recent update to win
8 its performance has been unacceptable. Explorer.exe continually fails, Internet explorer continually crashes, firefox continually crashes, computer locks up and has to be manually restarted for anything to work (for a short time). I am so disgusted with
win 8 I am ready to remove it completely and revert back to win 7 for future use. There is a windows.old folder in my windows folder. What is the best (least painful way) to revert back to win 7? I have legal

How to remove Windows 7 From a Dual Boot with Windows 8?
location:
winsecrets.com - date:
April 2, 2013
How do you safely remove Windows 7 Pro (32-bit) from a dual boot with Windows 8 Pro (64-bit)? I'm quite happy with Windows 8 Pro (since I've got Start8 to give me the Start button, menus, and booting directly into the desktop).
The scenario:
Both are on the same hard drive (an SSD).
Windows 7 was on the hard drive initially. I added Windows 8 on a new partition and am ready to completely abandon Windows 7.
I have not been able to find information on how to safely remove the Windows 7 partition.
The advice I've come upon online suggests:
(1) Reformat the Windows 7 partition or delete the Windows 7 partition.
(2) Expand the Windows 8 partition to occupy the entire drive.
(3) Remove the Windows 7 choice from by going into System Co

How to cancel a Windows 8 Market Place App purchase?
location:
microsoft.com - date:
October 29, 2012
Not sure if Microsoft is aware that when active users are in the Market Place app, and there is a price change, the user is not notified of the price until after the installation process starts.
I have had this happen to me when an application I was going to install, moves from a FREE application to a PAID application, the user is badly notified of this. Firstly the option is INSTALL not to buy, the next screen was requesting to update payment details...
with no information about cost occured. The a blue dialog box states that there has been a price change, and to refresh (with an OK as a reply), then the next screen states that it was PURCHASED and starts to install. So without being told the application
cost money, and verify
