My computer originally came with windows 7. I upgraded to windows 8 for $40 and got a product key. I then wiped my hard drive and installed Linux. I would like to install windows 8 again using my product key, however I don't have a Windows OS to us the Windows8-setup.exe to get the iso. What can I do? Thanks for your help in advance.

Hi. I am working on a Toshiba laptop for a friend with Windows 8 Pro 64-bit software installed. The computer was responding very slowly(10 min to boot up and show sign-in screen). I made a recovery flash drive and proceeded to recover the operating system.
After this completed, it booted up 1 time after which it showed an error message that said the software was corrupt and could not be restarted. I also could not use the recovery media again. At this point, I checked the Toshiba website and new recovery media
is available for $40.00 . My question is: Is there a possibility of downloading windows iso software in order to rebuild this computer's software from scratch? All of the Toshiba software is downloaded already from

Windows 8 ISO DVDinstall stops installing at 84% install. Says been an error and Windows 8 installation failed. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit English.

I've tried installing Windows 8, 2 or 3 times now from a ISO DVD. First install it failed at 78 % installation. 2nd time at 84%. I get an error message saying Windows 8 installation has failed. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit( English) on a Dell
computer. 1 T hardrive, 8GB memory. IE 9 browser.

I Want to buy a Windows 8 Pro DVD in India.I searched for it in shopping sites like ebay.in, flipkart.com, it is not available.

I downloaded Windows 8 Pro 64-bit Upgrade for my Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit PC, but now I want to wipe my HDDs and do a fresh install using a SSD. Unfortunately, I can't find a way to re-download Windows 8 so that I can do that. I would prefer to not
go through the process of installing Windows 7 again, then downloading Windows 8 Pro Upgrade and installing it. I would much rather just download and install Windows 8 Pro without having to go through the upgrade process. Is there any way to get a full Windows
8 Pro download since I already purchased the upgrade? Any other suggestions?

I get all nice and dandy until i get informative error:
"Windows 8 installation has failed" and get thrown out.

I have core i7 920, asus p6t deluxe v2. I'm re-downloading now, but I'm hitting my head to a wall.
I know i can delete everything and do fresh install, but obviously I would like to update my old OS to new one.
I just hate when things don't work and no explanation in the error of what might be wrong.
Uninstalled my Avira Anti-virus and Spy-bot as well before attempting. Can't update from USB either.

I have w 7 ultimate which i paid good money for but i got the "internet security pro" malware which is removed--but various things dont work right and i get errors. woman responded to use "windows defender offline" i go there and it says "you have windows
7 64 bit--wont work on your computer"
question is that if i upgrade to windows 8--will it override and fix my problems with registry etc?? or will it upgrade by i still have the various problems?? if i upgrade will i lose my various documents and pictures? or will they still be there?
on windows defender offline--that fixes various issues and spyware that other fixits dont--i see no reason why a modern windows 7 ultimate 64 bit simp
