Windows 8 Wired XBOX 360 Controller Problems

On my old Windows 7 computer I just plugged it in and could use it. But on my new Windows 8 pc, when I plugged it in, it installed it and recognizes it as a 'XBOX 360 Wireless Controller via Play & Charge Kit'. The wire shows that it is recharging, and when I press the green middle Xbox button it just starts flashing and doesn't seem to work on any games

Can't "Play to" from Windows 8 to xbox 360

I noticed the "Play to" option at the bottom of the video screen on Windows 8. The first time I tried it, it worked fine. Since then though, it appears that Win8 has stopped seeing my Xbox 360. It either says that it can't play at this time, or nothing shows up in the device list.

What is the deal with windows 8 and xbox login accounts?

I login to my computer with example [email protected] A long time ago I set up the login to my xbox360 with a non mircrosoft account. Now I want to go into xbox360 and change the old account to match my new [email protected], so among other things I can use the new smartglass app to access my xbox remotely. In the xbox360 menu I go to account settings whatever and enter where it asks for the new account login ([email protected]) and password, as soon as I go to accept it, xbox360 says that that login is allready being used for another xbox360 account. My question is, can I be logging into my windows 8 as [email protected] and someone else is logging into their xbox360 as [email protected] and the two are unrelated? How is one supposed to know thi

Windows 8 & XBox Integration

Ok, so I have had an Xbox for a while and I have a (Zune) Xbox Music Pass. I upgraded my PC to Windows 8 Pro with Media Center. Perhaps my expectation of this whole Windows 8 integration is wrong but someone please set the record straight.   I PURCHASED a movie on my XBOX. I see the movie I purchased on my XBOX. So when I log in to XBOX VIDEO on my PC and see all the movies available, why is my Windows 8 PC telling me I have to PURCHASE the movie I already purchased on my Xbox device? WHY IS THIS NOT INTEGRATED or INCLUDED between PC and XBOX device?   To add to that? Games. If I purchased Doodle Jump, Angry Birds, Plants and Zombies on my WINDOWS PHONE that are XBOX games, why cant I PLAY THESE GAMES ON WINDOWS 8? Windows

WIN 8 Pro, xbox 360 wireless controller, z axis not working

WIN 8 Pro, Microsoft Xbox 360 wireless controller, z axis not working. Z axis do work in the calibration screen, but not in the test screen or in games must be a driver problem, any advice? Have removed the driver to let windows reinstall drivers. Have installed the windows 7 driver software for the controller, still the z axis only work in calibration screen.

Media Center on windows 8 disconnects Xbox being used as extender

After upgrading to Windows 8, my Xbox wireless triggers is not working.

Original title: xbox wireless triggers  and windows 8 Since I upgraded to Windows 8, I have noticed that my trigger buttons on my xbox 360 wireless controller no longer work with the wireless receiver for the pc. I noticed on google that a lot of other people are also running into this problem. Is there a workaround or update? Every other button functions fine.... the joysticks and pov are all fine. But the triggers do not work.

Windows 7 and XBox 360

Hello, Has anyone had problems with Win 7 and Xbox 360 when trying to connect through Media Centre or say connecting directly to view Movies etc? I can't seem to get Media Centre to connect even though windows says it is setup ok. XBox just won't connect, eventually stops with an error. Second problem when I try and view shared directories on PC from XBox to view DivX movies etc. I have only just noticed this problem as not been bothered to stream to Xbox in a while and had to but a new XBox so thought I would setup from scratch on Windows 7.
