Windows 8 and Adobe .pdf
location:

Since getting my new computer with Windows 8 installed, I no longer appear to have the facility to print an Adobe pdf file on my HP Photosmart C5280 All-in-One printer which was available as one of the print options on my XP machine.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
On another point regarding HP, does anyone know where I can download the HP Solutions Centre, which I use a lot for scanning, and will it work with Windows 8.
Thanks in advance.

DailyTech - Ballmer: Windows 8 Will Land in 2012, Pop up in Tablets
So apparently Windows 8 will be released sometime in 2012, I'm not too crazy about the release looks more like a SP of Windows 7 then a full blown change plus Windows 7 was just released for a couple years and it's running very stable on my machine. Only if the price is right, I mean a lot cheaper than Windows 7 like by 50% or more then I may look into upgrading providing that 6GB ram on Windows 8 runs like 4GB ram on Windows 7 or better and Windows 8 performance is better than Windows 7 overall (games included).
Crazy Microsoft this is either going to be fail or major fail IMO.

Microsoft started dropping the first Windows 8 references as early as March 2009; yes, long before Windows 7 was finalized. Actually, Windows 8 in 2012 and Office 15 in 2014 Make Sense
location:

August 28, 2010
Actually, launch deadlines for the next iteration of Windows in 2012, and for the forthcoming major version of Office in 2014, make sense.
With the advent of Windows Vista, various Microsoft executives, including CEO Steve Ballmer promised to never again repeat the gap that separated Windows XP from its successor, and to deliver new Windows releases at a faster pace, once every three years or so.
And while the Redmond company has yet to confirm any details related to Windows 8, the successor of Windows 7, third-party sources are reporting that the operating system will be released by the end of 2012.
It’s all a matter of simple math actually. Windows 7 was released to manufacturing on July 22nd, 2009, less than three ye

Windows 8 & Opening pdf files

A problem when opening a pdf file in Windows 8 -
Whenever I open a pdf file (using Adobe Reader) I receive the following error message -
Microsoft Office Outlook
Either there is no default mail client or the current email client cannot fulfil the messaging request. Please run Microsoft Outlook and set it as the default email client.
Once I click the "OK" button on the error message I can then access the pdf file normally with all functions seemingly intact.
I am running Outlook 2013 (office 365 subscription) and needless to say it is set as the default email client. I never use (or try not to use) METRO, and always open straight to the desktop using "Classic Start Button".
There are also a few other
