Microsoft Corp. plans to showcase user interface of its Windows 8 operating system sometimes in the middle of the year, a media report claims. The UI will be demonstrated on a tablet computer rather than on a traditional one, hence, may be different from what Microsoft prepares for desktops or notebooks.

Microsoft already showcased Windows 8 at the 2011 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2011) in January, but the company is reportedly getting ready to share additional information on the next generation of the Windows client later this year.
At CES 2011, the demo presented by Steven Sinofsky, President, Windows and Windows Live Division, focused on support for system-on-chip architectures, with the very early build of what the company referred to as Windows vNext matching Windows 7 in almost all visible details, save for SoC support of course.
The upcoming demonstration could be designed to offer a more comprehensive look at Windows 8, and may even deliver some insights into the flavor of the operating system

no auto sleep in windows 8 after installing whs 2011 connector

I know there has been a lot of questions on no auto sleep. And I have searched for an answer and haven't been able to find one.
A week ago I did a fresh install of Win8-64 and it has been running great with no errors. I decide to connect it to my whs 2011 using the connector software, it installed with no problems but I realized that my pc will no longer go into auto sleep (it was
working fine the previous day). I can put the pc in sleep mode manually but once a wake timer kicks in, the pc stays on.
I know in Win8 there's a command "powercfg.exe -energy" which will give me a details report of the power options and logs; but when I run it here and I try to open the file "energy-report.html" file,&nb

I tried to download f1 2011 many times on my windows 8 pc.But,it never worked the game installed but it did not run or start.Then i realised that f1 2011 is not compatible with windows 8. So i wanted to know when will f1 2011 and f1 2012 be compatible with
windows 8 pro.I went to the publisher site too but it didn't help.Please help me with the same.

Hi i am playing farming simulator 2011 on window 8 it plays fine for hours then says bad allocation . The program troubleshooter tells me incompatible program detected but surely it would not play full stop any ideas, thanks
