Download of Windows 8 not completing successfully.
location:
microsoft.com - date:

I just purchased Windows 8 Pro through the MS Store. I have tried downloading it more than a few times. Just when it hits 100% complete, I get an error message saying: "Download did not complete successfully. The download task did not complete. Access
is denied."
I am upgrading from W7. I have run the W8 upgrade assistant and those that were flagged as issues were just indicating that updates were available. There was no indication that my system would not be compatible with W8.
I disabled Norton, and made sure that all non-Microsoft services were disabled.
Does anyone have any further suggestions to try?
Thank you in advance.

I'm not sure whats causing this, but NOTHING will download in windows 8. Not apps, or things i download on the internet. It will start the download and then it will say, "The download was interrupted." I've tried a clean boot, but that didn't help. Any ideas
as to what is causing this?

Upgrading to Windows 8 64 bit from XP 32 bit using the $39.95 download
location:
microsoft.com - date:
October 27, 2012
The Windows 8 website states the following:
Can I upgrade from a 32-bit version of Windows to a 64-bit version of Windows 8?
Yes, but you can't do this using Upgrade Assistant. If your PC has a 64-bit capable processor (CPU) but is currently running a 32-bit version of Windows, you can install a 64-bit version of Windows 8, but you'll need to buy Windows 8 as
a DVD.
You also won't be able to keep any files, settings, or apps when you upgrade from a 32-bit to a 64-bit version.
My question is this....what is different from the download version and the actual DVD? Why can't I purchase the download version, save it to a DVD, and then use it to upgrade from XP 32 to W8 64 using a clean install

Change install download language for Windows 8 Pro Upgrade
location:
microsoft.com - date:
October 26, 2012
Guys I have found out that it's a none issue. Unlike Windows 7-Vista that you had to have The Ultimate version to change the UI language, I think Microsoft has gone international and left it open. So just install it and then download the US language pack.
They have kept it easy and open.
