Hi guys,
I am a student and have access to the MSDNAA for my University, i have started downloading Windows 8 and has stuck at 90% and am in desperate need of Windows 8 to do some testing. Just wondering if there was an active link for the Windows 8 BETA? as i could do with it soon rather than later.

Installing the consumer preview had no problems.
If I boot into Windows 8 (Consumer Preview) and run the Release Preview setup from the DVD manually, I get the "Your CPU is not compatible" error message. My machine does meet the requirements as far as I know: P4 2.6 GHz, 1.75 GB of RAM.

Why does the windows 8 upgrade assistant not accept my Canadian postal code?!

Any time I enter my postal code for the billing address it says that it is not a valid format! Does microsoft not want Canadian customers?? I have even tried every variation of my postal code!(ie. capital letters, space between the two groupings).

Hello: My first post on this forum – hope I am directing it to the appropriate discussion group. I purchased a Samsung Series 5 laptop in late October and am undecided about whether or not I should upgrade to Windows 8. I’ve been told that I can purchase a Windows 8 “Product Key”at the $14.99 upgrade offer that ends tomorrow (Jan 31st) but I do not have to do the actual installation when I purchase the key. Also, that I would have the option to download Windows 8 when I purchase the Product Key and have it sit in a folder until I decide to proceed with the installation, OR I can wait to download it at a future date of my choice (so long as I have the Product Key stored in an e-mail). Download Windows 8 software again. Lost order number in attempted Reset

I installed Windows 8 successfully. I used the reset feature and it basically reformatted my hard drive and left my computer with no operating system. have reloaded Vista but still have Product Key for Windows 8. How can I download the software again. Lost
order number in the crash.

Yesterday I downloaded Windows 8 and began the install process. After a rather long delay I got a screen message telling me the "installation was not successful". My download came from Arvato Digital Services LLC and I was charged $39 for Winows 8 Pro.

Windows 8 Update Problems Code 8007003

Hello All
I was wondering if anyone can help me.
I am running Windows 8 (fresh on new machine) and have now started to have problems with Windows Update. It stops at 7% and then resets itself.
I am protected by Norton 360 Premium but have switched off both the Firewall and the Virus Protection during the Update process (no success).
I have also run the Troubleshooter (no success).
I have also tried what I believe is a "cold reboot" where it resets the Update history etc (no success)
Specifically, I have the following Updates that are failing:
KB2795944
KB2785220
KB2799494
KB2769165
KB2812822
The reason for all five failing is given as Code 80
