Has anyone experienced this? After I installed AVG Antivirus 2013 Free Edition... after a system restart... I was prompted to activate my windows. My when I went to "PC Settings -> Activate Windows"... I get the message 'Windows can't activate right now.

About 2 days ago I spent almost 3 hours talking to a Microsoft technician as he tried to fix the issue (without re-installing windows) to no avail. The only fix that worked was re-installing windows. However we were not able to identify the cause of the

windows 8 avg 2013 cant uninstall
location:

I've tried Revo Uninstaller, the normal windows uninstaller, the microsoft fix it that was for a Windows 7 system to uninstall avg free antivirus 2013. When I go to the Metro UI and type in, "AVG" it says that it's still installed. I've noticed that it's
no longer showing as an app with the avg logo but instead it's a plan file. Not sure if that makes sense but I'm pretty much saying that I don't see the avg logo even though the Metro UI search still shows that it's there. Please help.

Installing the consumer preview had no problems.
If I boot into Windows 8 (Consumer Preview) and run the Release Preview setup from the DVD manually, I get the "Your CPU is not compatible" error message. My machine does meet the requirements as far as I know: P4 2.6 GHz, 1.75 GB of RAM.
