Windows 8 Media center doesn't record the scheduled TV programs.

Original Title: How do I reinstall media center on windows 8 pro?
My WMC has problems. MC runs and will show live TV. The guide seems to stay up to date but scheduled recordings do not record.
I noticed today that a scheduled recording for yesterday is still listed as a scheduled recording for today.
I don't know if these are all the problems my MC has, so I think it best to start from the beginning with MC.
My question is, how do I remove then reinstall WMC?
Regards to all,
James

Hi,
I am working with someone in Canada who has just purchased new computer running W8.
I am located in Australia and use Windows 7.
We both need to use a software program that uses Australian/British spell checkers.
The software program (MPWord6) is working well on my computer and was working on Canadian person's computer until the trial period ended.
She has now purchased licence for the software but it continue to show "You have 0 days left of your trial". She is unable to use the program.
Is there anything in Windows 8 that might create trial period issues with pre-Windows 8 type software?
The MPWord software also has a ssce.ini file that lists which standard and medical dictionaries are used and where th

Windows 8 Regarding Taskbar and The Desktop Toolbar
location:

When I had VISTA I was able to right click the Taskbar and select Toolbars, then Desktop, outcome: it displayed the word Desktop on the Taskbar with two arrows to the right of it. When you clicked on those, a window popped up with all the items of my desktop.
Now I either deleted the items on my actual desktop, or they disappeared, and moving forward I had a clean desktop but could click on desktop on the taskbar and view all my desktop items. It was a way to hide, maybe for privacy reasons, or keep clean, the
actual physical desktop you saw, and all you got to admire was the desktop background. It had a second advantage that when you had many windows opened, rather than minimizing those windows to see what

I am new to windows 8 and can't find list of Programs
location:

My old computer died and I have purchased a Samsung Laptop with Windows 8. I can't find a listing of programs like I use to have with Windows Vista which I could access on lower left of screen. In fact how do I access all of the information that
could be located at this location? So far the only location I have been able to even find a listing of program is in control panel and all you can do there is uninstall/change. I sure would appreciate some help. Windows 8 leaves a lot to be desired.

We bought a new computer with pre-loaded windows 8. One of my programs will not allow me to enter numerals and its an accounting type program. I called the software company and they said its probably a windows 8 problem and they have no intention of fixing it since most of their clients do not yet have windows 8. What can I do?

How do i stop windows 8 closing programs from running
location:
microsoft.com - date:
March 12, 2013
Is there a way to stop windows 8 from closing down applications to the running apps bar, as this stops the application from continuing to run, as I need programs to run while I am away from the computer, as I render small animations they still take a fair
amount of time and this is impractical if the OS shuts down my running process, this can only be an annoyance to other people as well, I find the same thing when I'm playing a movie on a DVD, windows 8 seems to have a bad habit of doing this is there a way
to stop this, Is there a setting to stop this or a work around.
