downloading windows 8 media center keeps failing

Program down loads to 95 percent, than reverts back informing it failed, I have had 3 Microsoft Tec helpers that were unable to solve the problem, I have spent many hrs. on the phone trying to solve the problem, as well as my time trying resolve the problem myself, I tried many system check which corrected some problems, but not the installation problem, I'm at a point not knowing if Microsoft will call with help.

I upgraded to Windows 8 Pro and the upgrade assistant said my dvd wasn't compatible. So I downloaded and installed the offered free Media Center. Bit it still doesn't see the dvd player..

Windows 8 Media Center Pack installation fails

I have attempted to install the windows 8 media center package twice. The first time was with the anti-virus program (Trend Micro Titanium Maximum Security 2013) running. The second time I turned off Trend and it went further without the anti-virus running but it still failed. I suspect that this is due to Trend only allowing the anti-virus to be turned off until the next reboot and with some of the installation still needing to happen after the reboot that they are conflicting. Is there anyway of looking at an installation file or log to confirm that this is the issue?   Both failures recovered back to windows 8 with no apparent issues.   Thanks, Rick

Windows 8 says my product key is been currently being used by another computer?

After changing MY Desktop PC's MotherBoard and RAM (HDD remained same old one) as soon as I started my computer it says "This product key is been currently being used by another computer" and asking me to buy a new one.

Windows 8 Media Center promo validity

I upgraded my Windows 8 Pro to a Media Center edition via the free code provided from the promo site. Is the media center key permanently linked to my existing Windows 8 Pro account (Windows live account) when upgrading or will I have to buy it in the future when reinstalling windows?Does the Media Center expire sometime in the future, forcing me to reinstall windows or buy the latter version?Upon reinstalling windows, am I able to install them with the promo WMC key, or must I first install Win8 Pro and then upgrade to WMC?

Media Center Product Key

I'm considering reinstalling 8 because of some update issues. The problem is, while I have the original product key, I seem to have lost the Media Center product key. I've already used it on this installation and it changed the OS key to the Media Center key. I'd like to find out what that key is on my computer so I can use it when I reinstall. Any help would be appreciated.
