How to Make Windows 8 Live Tiles Update More Often
location:
microsoft.com - date:

Is there an option or setting to enable users to choose how often their live tiles update? For me, it seems sometimes that my live tiles won't update for 30 minutes or more at a time. For example, the top news story in my news app could have changed a
while ago, but 30 (or more) minutes later the live tile will still be showing the old one. The temperature in my weather app might have changed 2 or 3 times already from the old temperature but the weather app will still show the old temperature a good while
later. These are just a few examples, it happens with the finance app, the sports app, etc.

how to make windows 8 look and act like windows 7

Recently bought a new laptop, from HP and I am so confussed with the new windows 8, I can't even use the darn thing, reminds me of the time I was stuck with an Apple Machine. Is there a way to change the screen and start up to look and behave like Windows
7?
Other wise, I'm giving this piece of junk a good toss out the window. And I don't mean Windows 8.
Thank you for any help you all can be, I just wanted a new computer not an operating system like this..

Windows 8 Mail App - For Gmail accounts, how to make delete button archive?
location:
microsoft.com - date:
March 30, 2013
I have a couple Gmail accounts I'm trying to get working in the Windows 8 Mail app. The problem is that if I press the Delete button in the upper right of the app, it is sending my mail message to the Trash in Gmail, where it get permanently deleted after
30 days. I want the Delete button to just remove the item from its current location and "archive" it instead (not go to Trash). I need this so that I can retain search history of old messages.
I've checked in my Gmail settings (on their site) and on the "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" tab, I already have "Auto-expunge on" and "Archive the message" when a message is marked as deleted.
Further, I've seen other support posts here that say the default behavior w
