windows 8 how to change keyboard layout

Windows 8 keyboard layout bug

Sometimes, for no good reason, the keyboard layout changes on me. I've yet to find a pattern, but as another user reported, I often notice it at login when I type my password (I think that at those times it just had changed before shutdown an I didn't notice until login).   But now, the oddest thing about this bug is what you can see in this screen: http://sdrv.ms/X0NvAH   I have both US and PT language set to use the PT keyboard layout, but at times it changes randomly and without my intervention to US with US layout, when that isn't even an option I have enabled in the preferences... but then I can cycle though it using Win+Space, really odd.   I've yet to figure what triggers this bug, but I hope this

Windows 8 - Touch Keyboard option to change keyboard type GONE!

Anyone have a solution for this? The option to change the type of keyboard, thumb keyboard, standard layout, etc, which is usually on the bottom right corner has dissapeared! Any idea why? Screenshot here: Reinstall tablet features don't solve. Cant find keyboard options anywhere...tried to toggle all options in the keyboards section don't work either... like show standard keyboard, auto correct..etc. Thanks...any help really appreciated.

How to change Windows 8 32bit to 64bit??

I had a 32 bits windows 7 ultimate installed on my laptop though my processor is 64 bits. After installing windows 8 my system information is showing "System type : 32-bits Operating System, x64 based processor."  I am sure I have installed windows 32 bit. Strange while installing or downloading ISO there was no options asked to select for 32bit or 64bit. Could someone help for me to get 64bit installed instead 32bit. I think the KEY would be valid for 64 bit too. thanks

How can we use Touch Keyboard Windows 7 tabtip.exe with Windows 8?

Is there a way that the touch keyboard tabtip.exe (not on-screen keyboard osk.exe) to be programmed in windows 8 to operate like the windows 7 touch keyboard tabtip.exe? I find the win7 touchscreen keyboard can be reduced in size smaller than the win8 version. Also a small "keyboard" icon automatically appears near a text field when I hover my cursor over a text input field. When I click on that icon the touch keyboard appears allowing me to type. When I move to another area of the display, the touch screen keyboard disappears. How nice that Win7 version is for my use! In Win8, the tabtip.exe touch keyboard does not have the ability to be a smaller size like the win7 tabtip.exe. Does anyone any suggestions for a smaller touch screen ke

how to change font size under icon in windows 8

We have Windows 8 Pro and would like to change the font size under the icons to a bigger size. In Windows XP and Vista this was easily done by choosing Windows colors and appearance and choosing icons. We would like an easy solution to this problem. James
