Windows 8 Removed all my Programs

I did a Refresh of Windows 8 after a big update was installed as the system kept freezing. During the Refresh all programs were removed, including Office. On the desktop a files was saved with the title "Applications removed while refreshing your PC".   So, new OS and no applications! Not impressed!

I have not done anything to my laptop. It was working fine, I just turned on my computer to find every app I have installed removed. They are still in the "remove programs" in control panel, but when I search for them they are no where to be found.

Just installed windows media centre on Windows 8 and guess what...Windows 8 has removed all my programs without any warning...THANKS MICROSOFT am not impressed!!!!!!   Now I have to spend hours re-installing all my programs, this just sucks Microsoft does not have the right to remove installed programs on my system when I upgrade my OS....SORT IT OUT!!

Driver Updates already when I just purchased and installed Windows 8 and all I need is to open an email?

I received an email with an attachment. When I attempted to download it, I got a message that I needed to install a Certificate in order to open the email.  Because I know who the email came from, it is secure.  When I tried to download the certificate, it sent me to DriverUpdate in which they asked me to pay circa $30.00 for. It stated I needed 17 updates which I can't believe.   I just purchased Windows 8, why do I need to purchase driver updates?

Windows 8 "all apps" screen is completely blank

I turned on the computer and now the "all apps" screen is completely blank.  I have done no software installs or system updates .  It was working fine this morning.  I went to "file explorer" and checked the folders where all the apps are located and they're all still there.  I did a system restore to the only restore point available which was yesterday and that did not repair the problem. HELP! Edit:  It should be noted that I am able to bring up the apps listings by simply typing any single letter on the metro UI, and that brings a page of apps with a heading "Results for (x)".  But the "all apps" screen is still completely empty.  Is there a way to reconstruct the main "all apps" page?

Windows 8 crashes all the time. It only stay up when I have bejeweled blitz on in Facebook. As soon as I leave that page and leave the computer for more than 5 min I came back to a blue screen crash.

Windows 8 Problem with programs and DVD Drive

I installed Windows 8 on my laptop like 5 days ago, everyone worked fine and dandy there but somehow now most of my programs won't launch but i can see it in Task Manager, my DVD drive won't open when i try to eject it physically, when i try to right click and eject it in My Computer, it freezes immediately and doesn't recover so i'd have to end it via TM. But this is what i don't understand, after i put my Laptop to sleep by pressing briefly on the power button, when i turn it on again, the DVD drive then opens after the long time i tried to open in while using Windows, i then login and the program.s that wouldn't open like Origin and iTunes would be opened after logon.. Windows Media Player also freezes when i use it to ope

Windows 8 softwares & programs backup?

Is it possible to make a backup of all the softwares and programs that I installed in Windows 8? I am having a problem with windows 8 and want to format C:/ drive which will remove all the installed programs? I don't want to install all the programs again starting from scratch after installing windows 8?
