Windows 8 Explorer Crashing

I know this is a common problem to windows 8 and I would like some assistance from Microsoft support. Only problem is that they require a product identification (PID) which I don't have as my windows explorer crashes before it reveals my PC info.

Every time I attempt to use the search option, context menus or just basic right click functionality such as copy and paste. The screen goes black temporarily goes blank and then the Start Screen restarts. The same thing happens when I try to access the
control panel.

Windows 8 Explorer Stopping/Crashing/Restarting

Whenever I am doing a lot of work with many explorer windows open such as moving/renaming/organising files Windows explorer stops and restarts for no reason. There is no trigger I can see, and I can't recreate it again, it seem to be random.

Windows 8 Constantly Crashing recently

I recently updated my graphics card driver to the Windows 8 64 bit version...
And when I load Google Chrome (for some reason it always seems to be the desktop Chrome browser that causes this) my computer gets kinda slow for two seconds and then the blue screen of death comes up with the sad face.
It's happened many times, even without opening Chrome as well (I was woken up with the sound of my computer turning on twice throughout the night).
Any idea what's wrong?

Why is it that search in windows 8 explorer doesn't work EVERYTIME?

Windows 8 has a search bar just about everywhere needed. However, frustratingly it doesn't always work.
Click in the search bar and start typing and windows show things beginning with the first character then as you continue typing it removes the non-matching files. Works great but not every time.
Sometime I'll do a search and it will find what I want and the next search right after it nothing happens. It's not that the file I'm looking for isn't there, I may look for the exact same file again, it just stops working and you only see the folder in
the browse view.
To explain further. After I installed windows 8 I moved my music and eBooks. So now the not so smart iTunes can't find 600 items. As you know

hi,
my windows 8 (2012) explorer is not displaying thumbnails of MPG videoclips (it does of MP4 video clips!), only icons, despite having followed the procedure of "disk cleaning" suggested by Mouneshwar R in

(Of course, this was for Windows 7, but I did not find a Windows 8 procedure).
