Windows 8 moves to BIOS-based product keys....

Windows 8 moves to BIOS-based product keys Product keys for Windows 8 computers aren't printed on a sticker.
They're encrypted in the BIOS. How might that affect you?
My question: is this possible..?? Can a OS write to BIOS..??
If it true you can NEVER switch to a other OS..!!! You need to buy a new PC...

Hi,
Please can someone resolve a big problem i have had today?
I purchased a Sony Vaio SVE1512C6EW about a month ago, have had no problems whatsoever, great machine and all that, until today!
I have windows 8 and its all new to me. However i was generally browsing earlier and then all of a sudden the webpages were not loading. At the bottom it read "waiting for response from www.google.co.uk" and simply wasnt loading. It was nothing to do with
my wi-fi sky router was on working normal on the ps3 so it had to be something with the laptop where the problem lied.
Now on the Networks tab on the right under Wi-Fi it simply says "No Networks Found", whereas earlier i had a list of 20 odd networks. Why h

Windows 8 cannot access wireless properties or save pw.
location:

Every time I sign into my windows 8 account at home it never automatically connects to it. I tried following the tutorial at http://www.jmu.edu/computing/desktop...s-Windows8.pdf. However when I get up to the part where you are support to right click on the wifi connection to access view connection properties I am unable to. Right clicking on the wireless connection does absolutely nothing. I even tried clicking on it and holding and still nothing. When I go to the network and sharing center and click on the wireless connection it pops up a dialogue called wi-fi status. However there is no button for wireless properties. I remember in windows 7 there use to be a tab where you change the key encryption type and there was a ch

Windows 8 moves to BIOS-based product keys
location:

Windows 8 PCs now keep their product keys in the BIOS, a move that offers both pros and cons.
In the past, a new Windows PC would display its product key on a sticker, usually on the side of a desktop and on the base or the bottom of the battery compartment on a laptop. But with Windows 8, Microsoft has switched gears and now stores the key as a BIOS setting instead. windows 8, no access to administrator account at all
location:
microsoft.com - date:

Serious problem.
I have tried many things, and this is what I remember to have done:
It started when my user account (administrator) on windows 8 appeared with an error so I could not log in.
The system log me in as a guest instead.
Then I created a new normal account.
I then enabled the build in administrator account.
I thought I solved the problem, which I did not. But I disabled the build in administrator account again.
AND NOW, I cannot get to enabled it again because every time I try open msconfig or commando promt or such it ask me for the password to the first account, the one with the error. SO I'm totally lost here.
Please help
