Update to mail app for Windows 8

I understand there is an update to the Mail app for Windows 8 that allows the use of POP3 email programs. If this is correct how do I get to the link in Windows 8 to download the update? Do I have to create a Microsoft account to do so?
Advice would be appreciated.

Clean install Windows 8 Pro on new ASUS laptop

Just bought a new ASUS laptop which was preinstalled with Win8. I want to clean install win8 pro with UEFI support. However, everytime I get a message during the setup process that "The key does not match any of the images blah blah blah". I do not
get to the screen to enter my paid for code. The preinstalled OS key is hard coded into the BIOS. I upgraded the BIOS but still cannot clean install windows 8. Why???

I bought a new HP computer in the last month with Windows 8 on it. I can't do a damned thing with it. I can't find files I downloaded, it does stuff I don't want it to do, there's too much eye candy and moving images on the screen. My question is, is
it possible to take a new computer that came loaded with Windows 8 and get rid of it and load Windows 7.

Hi, my sister owns an HP laptop that came preinstalled with Windows 7 Home Premium. Recently the HDD started to fail and she called me to help her replace it. She then went out an bought an upgrade copy of Windows 8 as she thought she could use it since
windows 7 was already installed on the old, failing drive.
Is there an easy way to get Windows 8 activated on her new HDD? She has already performed a clean install on the new disk but I do believe she has access to the old one as well.

I recently purchased a new laptop (ASUS UX31A-C4043P Zenbook Prime) with Windows 8. All was going fine for week 1, then whilst hibernating overnight it crashed giving the following message, "C:\Windows\MiniDump\022613-8703-01.dmp" as well as "C:\Users\my
user name\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-19250-0.sysdata.xml" as well as "C:Windows\Memory.DMP" (without the inverted commas). I'm a self taught senior who needs answers dummied down if anyone could possibly help. One other thing, at the same time as this happened,
the bars at the top and bottom of the screen in an opened application are now a reddish/pink colour, rather than the colour they started as (which I think was blue)

Trying to Activate Windows 8 on new computer after old one is taken back!

Hey, so I have installed it and it works fine (crashes a lot really) probably due to it not being activated. I had an old laptop but Dell are coming to pick it up and they sent me a replacement, so I uninstalled windows 8 from the old one and now trying
to install it on my new one.
So I go ahead with the phone activation (in the UK) I get to the part where I put in my 9 segment code. I put that in first time and selected option 2 for if your windows 8 was installed on 2 or more computers, thinking it would give you an option to uninstall
the code on 1 or more of them but no it just says "Your code is not verified to work on more than one PC, you need to buy a new one" and they cut me off automatically.

I had a hard drive failure on a laptop which was running Windows 8. I replaced the hard drive, but now the product key isn't working. It doesn't give a reason, it just says it didn't work. How can I fix this? Thanks.

My laptop hard-drive blew up. Now i want to install windows 8 on a new drive. My version of Windows 8 is the upgrade. I don't have any recovery disks for my laptop or any windows 7 disk I only have the code printed on the bottom of my laptop. and the windows
8 setup with code in my email.
