I have downloaded Windows 8 Release Preview from Microsoft's website, burned it on a DVD and tried installing it, so now it is asking for a Product Key before I begin installing. How do I find the Product Key?

Windows 8 Pro Upgrade Product Key can't be used to activate Windows after a clean install
location:

Hi guys,
I purchased a Windows 8 Pro Upgrade and received the Product Key that I have used to download and perform a clean install of my laptop using a USB Flash Drive (format my HD then install). But now in my brand new installed Windows 8, I can't use that Product
Key to activate Windows as it says that the key is only for an Upgrade, not a clean install. I wasn't aware of this problem when I did the clean install. So how can I activate my Windows now?

If I buy a Pro Pack product key now can I wait to use it a year or two down the road. I believe I saw a post somewhere in the forum that said it would be good for a few years but I can't find that specific information on Microsoft's site.

Windows 8 Pro Pack Product Key does not work
location:

By mistake I purchased the Windows 8 Pro Pack from my local Best Buy store. I asked the sales droid for Windows 8 Pro and was given the Pro Pack and didn't find out it was the wrong thing until I had it home and opened. Since I had the Pro Pack I thought
I might as well download Windows 8 Pro and pay for it online rather than go back to the store.
My first attempt at installing it failed and the installer returned my system to its original state. I then burned a DVD of the ISO and made a dual boot system - Windows 8 64bit and Windows 7 64bit. Both systems seem to be running fine.
I have tried several times to enter the Product Key for the Windows 8 Pro Media Center Add On but each time I try it tells me that I can't use

Reinstall Windows 8 OEM- no product key

I've seen similar problems to this all over the place. I bought a Lenovo laptop with Windows 8 installed on a 1 TB HDD and used a 16GB mSATA SSD as a cache. My plan was/is to upgrade the 16GB SSD to 120GB and install the OS to it. Lenovo support initially told me this was impossible, but I talked them into send me the system restore disks, however they proved to be of limited utility.
I installed the new SSD but the options weren't there in the recovery disks to choose the install location, it just reinstalled to the HDD. So I used a Windows 7 install disk and did a clean install of Windows 7. So the computer is set up how I want it now (OS on SSD and User and ProgramData folders on HDD) except I'd like to upgrade it to Windo

Windows 8 says my product key is is currently being used by another computer?

Hi,
I bought a laptop for work about a year ago equipped with Windows 7. I got this at Best Buy and have not made any hardware/software changes to it. In October, I believe, I upgraded to Windows 8 for $39.99 (it was the day it was release). Long story short,
I don't like W8 for a work laptop. I think it would be great for anything with a touch screen but is roundabout for heavy duty, quick work. But it's find, whatever, I took a chance and got it.

windows 8 asks for product key
location:

I installed a blank HDD and Windows 8 on a fairly new PC which had a corrupted drive. Now when I turn on the machine, after I have to log into my account, I get a message asking me to Activate Windows. I input the Product Key that came with my copy of
Windows 8 and it rejects it. I power the machine off and back on and it may or may not ask me to activate Windows before letting me use the machine. Any ideas?

Windows 8 Pro Pack Product Key does not work
location:

I purchased a copy of Windows 8 Pro Pack from my local WalMart, only to get home and have Windows tell me the Product Key does not work. I took the card back for exchange of a new one, and after personally watching the Customer Service scan to activate
the card while billing me, I get home with the second card and its Product Key still does not work.
I just spent $99 on Pro Pack, so I would appreciate if you can send me a valid product key that you CAN assure me works. I can't afford to keep using my gas driving back and forth to exchange for yet another bad card that won't be accepted. So before I
go to my bank to stop payment on the charge, any help in getting a working number w
