(Solved) IE8 Windows 7 - viewing Temporary Internet Files Folder
location:
7forums.com - date:

Hey guys,
There was a setting that you could do which would allow you to view your Temporary Internet Folder like you would in XP, with everything in it, instead of being seperated into Content.IE5 folders.
I did it before...but I had to do a repair install....and now I can't remember how I changed that setting!
Could anybody help?

I Solved it and forgot to post the solution lol sorry
Internet Options -> Security -> Uncheck 'Unable Protected Mode'
Enjoy

delete temporary internet files folder Windows 7
location:
microsoft.com - date:
August 29, 2012
I got a new SSD drive and one suggestions was to move my temp internet files and other folders to a secondary hard drive so I would have enough space on my new SSD
I did this under Internet Options: General : Browser History : Settings: Move Folder
Unfortunately I made an error and the folder ended up in the My Music directory for a couple of days.
I have since moved it to the my second hard drive but my problem is the temp internet directory folder in the My Music folder. I can't delete it. I'm trying to move the location of the My Music folder but it will not let me change location because I don't
have permission on this folder.
I've tried to give permission to the folder. I'm logged on as an administrator

location:

I am trying to access the Temporary Internet Files Folder, however I am not having any luck.
I have set the Folder Options permissions to show hidden files OS files, etc., I have admin rights, however the only thing I can see is cookies in the folder. There are nor temporary files shown.
(C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files)
The properties dialog shows the hidden attribute greyed out and unaccesible.
Is there any way to gain access to this folder?

Windows 8 File Explorer search tools disappear when viewing temporary internet files
location:
microsoft.com - date:
January 15, 2013
Windows 8 file explorer search tools disappear when viewing temporary internet files created by Internet Explorer 10.
I.e. when viewing MyName > AppData > Local > Microsoft > Windows > Temporary Internet Files.
The search tools are available when viewing other folders, but when I view the Temporary Internet Files folder the search tools disappear.
This is a problem because I cannot see and delete some cookies that I know are in the Temporary Internet Files folder.
Any ideas on how to get back my search tools?

Temporary Internet Files (Windows XP SP2)

Is there are reason not to delete all the files in a folder named:
Cocuments and SettingsCarolLocal SettingsTemporary Internet FilesContent.IE5JMZ9HHVN
It seems to be where Outlook Express is storing attachments that come to us with emails. Since those files are supposed to be temporary, isn't it unusual to have scores of files still in that folder?
Thanks

How to display the folder Temporary Internet Files and its subfolders in Windows Explorer
location:
microsoft.com - date:
April 19, 2013
Hello!
Under Windows 7 I cannot display the Folder Temporary Internet Files and its subfolders in Windows Explorer.
E. g.: The subfolder Low in the path below exists but it is not displayed in Windows Explorer.
C:\Users\User Name\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Low\Content.IE5\
Under advanced settings, I checked Show hidden files, folders, and drives. But this had no effect.
Thank you

why does windows media player store temporary internet files in pictures?
location:
microsoft.com - date:
May 20, 2011
My computer is running very slow and at times no response to mouse to screen saver. When I look in Windows media player I find that it stuffs daily things not listed in the Library. Temporary Internet Pictures this morning. Other files yesterday. I
eventually emptied every picture file out of it and added one or two so I could connect it to my Bravia TV which wasn't responding. Now its back to sticking in all sorts. Where does ot decide where it gets this information from and why when no applications
loaded over 40% memory in use and I have hard disk activity?
I am using Windows 7 Ultimate. Windows Media Player 12 and have 4GB Memory and a 5.3 rated computer.

Issue with Permissions to Temporary Internet Files (7.0.5730.13)
location:
winsecrets.com - date:
January 2, 2008
All of a sudden I am no longer able to open files by just clicking on links in Internet Explorer.
With PDF files, when I click on the link I get a program failure message, the file then downloads to the Temporary Internet Files/Content.IE5/xxxxxxx/ folder and I then get the following Windows error:
"Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item."
If it is something like a .rar file where the file is initially downloaded I get the window allowing me to run or save the file. If I run it then it downloads and then I get the error above. I can save the file as this negates the permissions issue.
If I go the the folder I can open the download

Windows 7 - PS3 no internet access problem
location:
7forums.com - date:
June 13, 2011
Hi guys I'm sure this has been covered on loads of threads here but I can't find an exact remedy to this problem.
I know my way around a PC (I'm no expert) but this problem has me stumped
I use a vodafone mobile internet dongle to access the net on my PC, I have my PS3 connected to my PC via a network cable.
I can access my PC media from my PS3 but I can't get access to the internet.
My PS3 shows up in the network and sharing centre but it shows up as an unidentified network and no internet access as you can see below.
I've changed my firewall settings on the PC changed my network from Home to Work to Public just to see if this would allow the PS3 to connect to the internet via the network but non of what I've tried has worked.
