Windows 7 professional will not start. When I try a normal startup with the installation disc or the Windows 7 32 bit repair disc I get a message during the startup that says "CDBOOT cannot boot from CD code:5 and I end up in a Windows Error Recovery
window. When I click on "Launch Startup Repair" Windows loads files and immediately returns to the Windows Error Recovery Window.

Upgrade to win 7 wont boot from CD
location:
7forums.com - date:

Hello, I am running Vista 32 and have purchased a Win 7 home premium upgrade from MS and I cant get it to boot from the cd. I went into bios and the boot order was correct starting with DVD/CD and it still wont do it? If I start vista and go into the DVD drive I can start it that way. I also wanted to use the 64 bit DVD that came with it because my PC is 64-bit compatible. How do I get this to boot on start OR can I just run from "My Computer" because the Win 7 screen does come up if I go that rout.
Thanks,
Chad

Please help Windows 7 crash
If someone could please try and help me fix this or just start over.
Ok I have a emachine e725 running windows 7 32bit and a acer running on windows vista. My emachine recently crashed in the blue screen and I tried to complete a system restore. I was able to get through the advanced boot menu and use the repair your computer option to restore windows. During the windows setup process I got another blue screen and the computer restarting. It then started the process over and once it got to the step that says windows is preparing setup, it gives an error msg saying something along the lines of windows was interupted and needs to restart to complete installation, and it has an option to press ok. This cycle

Installing Windows 8 with Windows 7 Dual Boot from Flash Drive
location:
8forums.com - date:
May 22, 2012
Hello Windows 8 members.
I'm Trinty from Windows 7 forums (maybe someone knows me).
I installed Windows 8 on VM but I want to install it on my current machine,
dual-boot with Windows 7.
Windows 7 is already installed and there is one problem. I don't have Install CD and Repair CD.
My questions :
1. When I install Win 8 do I need Install CD or Repair CD for Windows 7 (for ex. to repair Bootmgr) ?
2. Can I install Windows 8 from HDD (without using flash drive or DVD) ?
- If answer is yes : How ?
- If answer is no : Can I use Flash Drive 4GB ?
That is all for now.
Please answer soon.
Thanks in advace.

Unable to boot Windows System Repair Disc from CD Drive ASUS N56VM
location:
7forums.com - date:

Hi,
I burned a system repair disc in Windows 7 from an iso file but it won't boot the Windows Systems recovery options.
I've tried booting this cd from the cd drive in both legacy and UEFI mode.
When I boot from legacy I get an error message saying that there is a system file error and to replace the disc and try again. When I boot using UEFI mode, it says press any key to continue, the windows bar starts loading but instead of going to the windows boot loader screen and giving me Windows Setup [EMS Enabled] option to boot into the System Recovery options, a command screen pops up and it then redirects me to the Asus Preload Wizard instead. This wizard wants to do 1 of 3 things only:
Recover Windows to first partition only

I'm having a problem I cannot seem to fix at all. I'll provide the backstory and what steps I've tried to take to resolve the problem, but I'm literally at a place where I don't know what to do. My ultimate end goal is to just recover personal files
from my old hard drive and that's it. I don't care how I access that drive, I just need to access it. The problem is I can't no matter how hard I try.
So a week ago I was having problems with my computer. Lots of blue screen errors (unfortunately I don't have those numbers anymore) and even after try to do chkdsk, running repair programs, defragging, etc., nothing seemed to help. I had a 1TB HDD partitioned
into two sections. I backed up my personal files to the second partition (the one

Acer m5100 Windows 7 upgrade, can't boot from CD error AND no graphics
location:
7forums.com - date:
November 2, 2011
I am in way over my head and could use a push in the right direction.
I have an Acer Aspire M5100 Desktop that was running Vista 32 bit. I tried to upgrade to Windows 7, and am now stuck. I do not know what the exact problem is. I think it is EITHER a problem with BIOS or with an incompatible graphics driver.
After the upgrade process (I did not do a clean install), when the computer rebooted for the last time, the screen went black and it it did not advance past a certain point. The error message read, cannot boot from CD.
Since then, when I turn on my computer, the screen goes to black. That's it. If I push delete, I can access BIOS. Even when the boot priority is the CD Rom, nothing happens. I cannot access a GUI to make
