Can Windows 7 RUN Battle for middle earth 2?
location:
7forums.com - date:

Simple question, I want to buy it off amazon but don't want to waste the $50.00 US dollars if it isn't going to work. I ask this because I heard from somewhere since Battle for middle earth 2 is a windows XP game it wont run properly on windows 7 format. A word of caution, i'm not really computer/windows 7 savvy so big terms wont help me. Thank you for your consideration.

Will Windows 7 run smoothly on a non-powerful computer?
what if a PC has this:
Intel Pentium 4, 3.00GHz
512mb DDR2 RAM
98mb Intel Extreme Graphics
80GB Hard Disk
I've tried Windows Vista Ultimate on this computer, and it runs fine but without it's Windows Aero Interface. I also experience problems running games and different programs on it.
I've heard that Windows 7 is lighter than Vista, so will Windows 7 run smoothly on this computer?

The answer to this question is a resounding yes.
As a project, I took a Dell Latitude PCx Laptop, a P3 500Mhz with 512MB RAM, and installed the Windows 7 Starter Edition from the RC DVD from Microsoft. At this writing it is running well, at least as responsive at the original Windows 98 (the label states it is Windows 2000 ready).
This is how I was able to accomplish this:
The laptop has one internal drive but comes with a floppy and a CD. An included cable allows one external drive to connect (your choice) while the other can be inserted internally. There is one USB port.
First I created a Windows 7 System Repair Disc for 32 bit. You can install a 7 x32 on a 64 bit system, but not the other away around. I had a Dell Inspiron 1100 with

Recently purchased a new laptop with Window 8, downloaded the Movie Maker software to discover that you can no longer burn DVD's. Want to download older version so the option is there again. Do not want to use any other DVD programs, I really had very
good success with home movies with the other system.

My friend acquired an old Dell C400. I was suggesting that he put Windows 7 on it, but would that even run? I know I installed Windows 7 on my old Toshiba Satellite that is 8 years old.
