Windows 7 multiple networks on startup
location:
microsoft.com - date:

Hi all, having an uissue with an otherwise GREAT OS being every time I start my pc, I can't connect to the net because it's showing as being connected to multiple networks.
I have;
A wireless modem router with 4 ports
A laptop running Vista that connects wirelessly with no issues
A pc with no wireless card connected with ethernet cable. This is where the issue is. EVERY time I start the pc up, it can't connect to the internet because there are multiple networks. A Home network and an Unidentified network.
I can disable the network adapter, enable it and the pc will then only connect to the Home network and no issues with the net. I have tried deleting the network as per other threads and rebooting the pc. This seems to works

Fallout 3 Windows 7 crash on startup, tried patch, xlive.dll fix, ffdshow does nothing
location:

My laptop should be a sufficient enough system to run Fallout 3.
Windows 7
core i3
4gb ram 32/64x
cocoa 2 smartaudio
intel graphics hd
I downloaded the patch from the Fallout website, then got the xlive.dll error, downloaded the patch to fix that, continued to crash on startup, searched for ffdshow couldn't find it, when I found it in the registry enabling or disabling it has nothing to do
with gameplay or fallout port, also read elsewhere that it's another fix that doesn't work - especially for windows 7 users. Tried running in Vista and XP, I'm set to run everything as admin., none of this ____ works. I bought this game retail, since when
does a game not work? AND when I paid ful

Windows 7 Crashes After Startup
location:
7forums.com - date:
April 15, 2009
I've been using build 7000 since it was released back in January and it has been generally an enjoyable experience. Today, however, the OS keeps crashing into a blue screen immediately after startup. Sometimes while the log in tune is still playing (making it loop) and sometimes shortly thereafter.
I've tried just about everything I can think of to no avail. The only thing I did yesterday was install the new patch to World of Warcraft, and I doubt thats the problem.
Attached is a copy of my DxDiag.
Does anyone have any idea what's wrong? Thanks!

Windows 7 hangs on startup after installing Nvidia graphics drivers
location:
7forums.com - date:
September 19, 2010
Hello all.
I have recently bought a new Windows 7 system and am having a problem installing the graphics card drivers. The store I bought it from pre-installed the OS and all the drivers, and when I fired up the computer for the first time, it got to the point just after the "starting windows" screen - the glowing windows logo desktop background appeared, but the mouse pointer, icons, task bar, start button, etc. did not appear, and I could do nothing at that point other than turn off the computer. So I restarted the computer, booted in safe mode, used system recovery to restore to a previous point, and then I was able to start the computer properly. Then using the process of elimination I figured out that the graphics card drive

Windows 7 reboots during startup - even in safe mode
location:
7forums.com - date:
December 8, 2011
Hi all,
I have a Windows 7 installation that I seem to be in an 'endless loop' on. First off, if I just let the system reboot, it comes to the windows 7 splash screen and then reboots again. This will happen endlessly if I let it.
If I hit F8 during boot up, I do get the Windows 7 menu. I have tried using the 'repair' options, but they don't succeed in solving the problem. I have tried going into Safe Mode and that also reboots after getting to the 'CLASSPNP.sys' driver (at least that's what it displays on the screen).
So I thought I would just 're-install' Win 7. I boot from my Win 7 DVD, and my options are 'upgrade' or 'clean install'. If I do 'upgrade', the DVD tells me that I need to start Windows first and then run Upgrade.

In startup repair, I get a problem signature corrupt file. I have run sfc and there are no corrupt files. I have run chkdsk. I have a restore point but it is back in feb of 2010. Is there anyway to reinstall it overtop of the existing installation
without being able to start windows to run setup from the windows installation disk (keeping my existing files and programs)?

Windows 7, multiple UAC problems
location:
7forums.com - date:
July 14, 2012
Hi,
I've been facing some problems with UAC for over a year. I tried solving it myself initially but failed. So I ignored the problem for a year as it didn't bother me too much, but need to get it solved now as it has come in the way of my work.
I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1 on a Dell Precision T3500 Workstation.
Everything was working great until one day I noticed something had changed when I right clicked on any shortcut icon:
The shield icon next to the "Run as administrator" option was missing and there was a new option there called "runasuser".
When I click on either option, I get this message:
I tried doing a system restore but it failed and on restart I got a similar message. System restore never
