how do I uninstall windows 8 and install windows 7 or use Win 7 as a dual operating system.
location:
microsoft.com - date:
January 14, 2013
I have a new laptop a DELL 15z 5523 / Win 8, it's utterly useless, has no card games, no standard microsoft applications like windows 7 or Vista,
I purchased Windows 7 and want to either remove Win8 or use two operating systems, but I have no luck finding the local C hard drive when trying to install windows 7, I partitioned the hard drive and formatted it via Windows 8 Disk management , I'd like
to (keep the Win 8 as a fall back OS) and when trying to install Win 7 the software does not see the C drive.
Thank you.

Windows 7 64b and Bluetooth keyboard issue. How to solve?
location:
7forums.com - date:
April 23, 2012
Hi folks,
My bluetooth keyboard always loses connection after a certain time.
It seems a Windows 7 issue because to fix that, the workaround I found was:
- Go to bluetooth devices > Bluetooth keyboard > Properties and click on the service tab and hit ok, so it makes the keyboard "wake up" and works again.
But it is a pain to every time have to do it!
I have checked the hardware tab and each power manage tab, but my Keyboard device HID is grayed out the option "The computer can turn off the device to save energy". But it is unchecked as grayed out.
Anybody knows or found a solution to stop loosing a connection? It is a non-branded keyboard and didn't come with any driver and all drivers/hardware tab is set to

How to make Windows 7 x64 use ALL your Memory!
location:
7forums.com - date:
July 8, 2009
Okay, so recently I had a problem with Windows 7 x64 only using 5Gb out of my 6Gb or RAM. I figured it out, and I'll show you what to do if you're having problems.
The first screenshot is what it looked like initially. How to fix:
1) Go to start menu and search for "msconfig" and hit enter.
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
2) Go to the "Boot" tab and click on "Advanced Options".
3) Another menu should pop up. From there, you want to uncheck the box that says "Maximum memory"
4) It will ask you to restart your system. Restart it, and when it boots back up, it will use all your memory. Look at the attachments for more help!

Using Windows 7, how do I run CHKDSK?
location:
microsoft.com - date:
February 27, 2011
I've searched throughout the Control Panel and it's submenus and options but can find no means to initiate a scan for disk errors!
I did find chkdsk.exe in the Windows\System32 folder but when I double click it, the only response is a flash of the DOS {black, command prompt} screen! Is that the correct response?!
Is there no way to run [schedule] a scan disk [for errors] as there has been in earlier versions of Windows?!
