Windows 7 - How to perform an incremental back-up
location:
microsoft.com - date:

I posed a question yesterday wanting to know about performing an incremental back-up with Windows 7 and received the reply “Try scheduled tasks and write a copying script” which seemed helpful at the time but I am a novice and was unsuccessful.
If someone could please provide me with a Step-by-Step on how to perform an incremental back-up with Windows 7 it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
This is what I wrote yesterday: As a photographer I need to constantly back up my photo files. With Windows7, when I perform an incremental back-up from the source drive to the back-up drive an error message pops up stating “there is not enough
disk space” to perform the action. Previously, I had WindowsXP

Windows 7 - how to install raid driver from floppy
location:
microsoft.com - date:
January 13, 2011
I am assembling drivers etc preparatory to a clean installation of Win7 on an Intel DQ45CB, with Raid1.
Windows usually asks me to press F6 to install RAID drivers from a floppy.
But my machine doesn't have a floppy drive. (I'm old enough to remember what a floppy drive was).
So how will I get Intel's "F6 driver diskette" drivers on to my system during the Win7 install?
Sorry if this sounds like a dumb question.
Cheers - Paul

Server 2008 - windows 7 deployment - Flash, Java and shockwave disappearing
location:
winsecrets.com - date:
January 31, 2013
Hi everyone,
I suspect that we already know the answer, but would be nice to have it confirmed. We have a situation. A Server (ML110) with Server 2008 standard has 32 workstations in an ICT suite for a local school. There are group policies involved to restrict users from installing or deleting items etc. The 32 workstations have windows 7 professional installed. All are on a domain.
The problem: We were told that some websites didn't work properly and notices that it was Flash, Java or Shockwave that needed installing on 'some' not all. So, our apprentice Dan, reinstalled Flash on all the failing machines. It happened again a week later, but not all the same machines. He did it again. Each time, installing them using the admin accou

Windows 7 Starter and Java
location:
microsoft.com - date:

I have an Asus Eee PC 1000HAB with Windows 7 Starter on it. I was trying to play around with Minecraft, which requires Java but apparently Java and Windows 7 Starter don't play well together. I have tried all the tricks that i know of and the obvious
stuff to try to get Java installed but it always errors out no matter what I do. I tried to go to Java for help but they want to charge me $50 to install it, so either the support guys knows something i don't, or he doesn't have a clue. I would really appreciate some
help.
Does Windows 7 Starter even support Java? Do I need to upgrade to 7 Home? Is there some kind of a work around for the install? I am not coming up with anything via an internet search for Java

In Windows 7 , how do I open one window on top of another
location:
microsoft.com - date:
April 27, 2013
Hi:
In Windows Vista, if I go to a Control Panel...e.g.,
NetWork and Internet > Network and Sharing Center, and then click on a link, it opens a new window slightly offset form the previous window, so that I can see (or swap) the two windows, the one with the dark blue bar across the top of the window,
being the front window. In Windows 7 , the second window
replaces the first window, so I lose the prior information. I can't swap them. How can I keep both windows open at the same time ? I don't want one of them to be minimized and only shown in the Taskbar, and then replace the other window if I open it.
Thank you

Windows 7 locks up after update.
location:
microsoft.com - date:
November 5, 2009
I found my computer locked up with a screen stating something about configuring an update and not to turn it off.
After 2 hours I finally held the power button down and forced a re-boot.
I was able to launch windows and login. The system told me that an update had failed.
I clicked on install the update and it completed fine.
I went to lunch and when I returned my computer was locked up.
I have restarted several times and when I get to the login screen it will lock up.
If I am fast enough to enter the password it goes to the “Welcome” screen and then locks up there.
I have started in the safe mode and ran my Norton scans with no items found and reviewing the device manager no ite

Windows 7 install requires BIOS update, no operating system to boot
location:

I have searched and been unable to find the information.
Specs are HP G60-445DX
3GB RAM
AMD Turion X2, 64 bit
Etc.
Upgrading from Vista Home Premium that was reset to factory specs in hopes of repairing "local only" issue on network.
Here's what is happening, booted from Windows 7 Ultimate burned ISO image on DVD RW, followed the instructions on this site for a clean install. Performed clean all on disk 0, set a partition and followed the install instructions. Expansion of Windows remained at 0% for 2 hours, I understood there were known issues however I have retried to do another clean install but am unable to boot from DVD although everything is set to do so including resetting CMOS battery.
It has come to my attention that
