I recently have done troubleshooting my windows 7 sleep mode problem. I did everything that Microsoft had me do to allow my pc to enter the sleep mode after 20 minutes. I can manually make it go into sleep mode, but it will not do it automatically.I have all the Advanced Settings configured so it will do it, but it still won't go into sleep mode.I am running microsoft windows 7 Ultimate.(32 bit). It worked fine before i upgraded to windows 7 Ultimate.

Windows 8.1 crashes going into sleep mode

I have a new Asus S400CA that came with Windows 8 and I updated to 8.1 out of the box. The computer crashes when it goes into sleep mode probably 1 out of 3 times. I have tried updating all the drivers, including the wireless driver. I have it set to make minidumps but they aren't being created anymore (last one was on 12/5). Usually I get no indication that the computer crashes but it takes a long time to boot back up, although occasionally it will say Windows encountered a problem and has to restart. I am also getting a ton of Schannel 36888 errors, although I don't know if that's related.

whenever i play video games my 21" dell monitor goes into sleep mode. i just recently purchased an alienware computer from dell, and everything works quite well except for this one problem. i've tried putting my power scheme on high performance(via alienware fx), set my power settings for my hdd, monitor, etc to never sleep. i use an x-box 360 controller cause i suck at typing and it's therefore a lot easier for me...being handicapped doesnt help either. there are a few other things i've tried, even though i can't remember them all(except for initialzing my computer),while attempting to use the windows 7 troubleshooter. the solutions never really "hit the mark" so to speak though i'd think this to be pretty common. i've n

Windows 7 wakes up immediately after going into sleep mode.

When I use powercfg lastwake to check what woke up my Macbook pro it showed that the ACPI lid was the cause even though my laptop remained closed. I can't seem to disable the ACPI lid from waking up my computer.

Hey There, I have checked on google and found nothing that was related to what i am looking for. I installed Windows 8 on my laptop as well. Although in my power settings my laptop is set that when I close the lid it is to go into "sleep" mode. I've uploaded a screen shot to show you how I have it set. The reason I would like to set it go into "sleep mode" when I clode the lid of my laptop, is because I am on the go a lot and it would be nice to have it in sleep mode instead of having to shut it down every time I want to go some where. PC wakes up immediately after going into sleep mode

This has been happening since the last several days. I've tried system restore going back to Dec 31st and it hasn't helped the issue. I've looked through the Advanced Power Settings options and not found something that appeared to be an issue to me. It still auto wakes up with Allow wake timers set to Disable and When sharing media under Multimedia Settings set to Allow the computer to sleep. I also ran powercfg -lastwake in cmdafter an automatic wake up and these were the results:
