Want to remove 64 bit Windows 8 and install 32 bit
location:
microsoft.com - date:
February 4, 2013
Original Title: Windows 8
first here are my specs:
Gateway SX series sx2110g-uw308 model
Windows 8 64 bit
amd E1-1200
4 gb ddr3 memory (8gb compatible(2slots))
My problem is I spent money on both the digital download and the DVD through mail for Windows 8 which came with both 32 and 64 bit operating systems.
I would love to uninstall the 64 bit and re-install using my bought version of the 32 bit system, as I do not care for 64 bit no matter how much it would save my life... Is there anyway to do this?!?!
On that note I should say I have tried booting with the dvd in the drive and I have figured out how to get into the bios and set the boot priority for the dvd drive to be first and I get nothing...
If I have to I wil

Factory OEM Clean Install of Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit
location:
7forums.com - date:
September 29, 2012
I'm hoping all of my system info is displayed since I downloaded and installed System Specs...
I downloaded the correct .iso file from the Digital River list and have since burned a new DVD using imgburn set at 4x for an excellent copy. At this point I'm not sure if I must first reset the BIOS boot order in Setup or if just having the DVD in the drive will prompt me to press any key to continue. FWIW, I'm using a Liteon DVD-ROM drive Model eTDU108.
Anxious to get started...thanks!

Windows 7 Professional : 32 bit vs. 64 bit
location:
microsoft.com - date:
February 16, 2011
Hi,
I am buying a new PC. I am trying to decide between Windows 7 Professional 32 bit or 64 bit.
I like the idea of 64 bit because it can address more memory. When I look for notebook PC's at Dell and HP, it seems like they include 64 bit with the more powerful processors and 32 bit with the less powerful processors. It has always been my nature to
spend a little more on a new PC so that it remains useful for a longer period of time.
However, I am afraid about compatibility. My main concern is that I need to run an application that was written using Visual Basic back in the year 2000. Would it be more likely that this would run on 32 bit than 64 bit?
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in adva

I currently have Windows 7 Pro - OEM - 32 bit. I want to change to 64 bit, but the OEM disc I have only has the 32 bit version. Is there any way that I can switch to 64 bit without having to buy an upgrade?

Our web application is built on Windows Server with Apache (not IIS), PHP and MySQL (WAMPSERVER 2.0).
In order for the app to function well, I need to disable IIS services so it won't conflict with Apache.
Please, let me know how to do it in details.

Customizing FOLDER OPTIONS in Windows 7 Professional (32 bit and 64 bit)
location:
microsoft.com - date:
November 14, 2012
Whenever I open a sub-folder in any folder on my computer running Windows 7 Professional (either 32 or 64 bit), it always opens in a new window. All other subsequent folders open in new window too as I open them, clustering my screen.
I tried changing it in the Control Panel (under Folder Options >
General > Browse folders) by selecting the option 'Open each folder in the same window' and this was still not helpful. What can I do to solve this problem? Any helpful hints?
