Windows 7 - How to perform an incremental back-up
location:
microsoft.com - date:
June 22, 2010
I posed a question yesterday wanting to know about performing an incremental back-up with Windows 7 and received the reply “Try scheduled tasks and write a copying script” which seemed helpful at the time but I am a novice and was unsuccessful.
If someone could please provide me with a Step-by-Step on how to perform an incremental back-up with Windows 7 it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
This is what I wrote yesterday: As a photographer I need to constantly back up my photo files. With Windows7, when I perform an incremental back-up from the source drive to the back-up drive an error message pops up stating “there is not enough
disk space” to perform the action. Previously, I had WindowsXP

Windows 7 - how to install raid driver from floppy
location:
microsoft.com - date:
January 13, 2011
I am assembling drivers etc preparatory to a clean installation of Win7 on an Intel DQ45CB, with Raid1.
Windows usually asks me to press F6 to install RAID drivers from a floppy.
But my machine doesn't have a floppy drive. (I'm old enough to remember what a floppy drive was).
So how will I get Intel's "F6 driver diskette" drivers on to my system during the Win7 install?
Sorry if this sounds like a dumb question.
Cheers - Paul

In Windows 7 , how do I open one window on top of another
location:
microsoft.com - date:
April 27, 2013
Hi:
In Windows Vista, if I go to a Control Panel...e.g.,
NetWork and Internet > Network and Sharing Center, and then click on a link, it opens a new window slightly offset form the previous window, so that I can see (or swap) the two windows, the one with the dark blue bar across the top of the window,
being the front window. In Windows 7 , the second window
replaces the first window, so I lose the prior information. I can't swap them. How can I keep both windows open at the same time ? I don't want one of them to be minimized and only shown in the Taskbar, and then replace the other window if I open it.
Thank you

Using Windows 7, how do I run CHKDSK?
location:
microsoft.com - date:
February 27, 2011
Hey, sbibi!
The answer is earlier in this threat; however, it did neglect to mention, after you right-click the drive you would like to check for errors, you select "Properties" -- then u'll find the properties winodow with the "Tools" tab... "Error-Checking is at
the top.
Click "Check Now" and select both error correction options. Then you'll be informed that Windows has to access the drive while it's not in session and you'll be asked to schedled the error check for the next time you start Windows. Opt to run the check
when you next reboot your computer.
Restart your computer... sit back and wait for the error check to begin -- and end.

Using Windows 7, how do I run CHKDSK?

If you still need this resolved, take a look at this website:
http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/130824-chkdsk-will-not-run-startup-vista.html
Vista and 7 use the same steps. However, if you are using Windows 7, do NOT download the fixes on the site, just follow the steps. It sounds as though you have the corrupted registry entry.
Good Luck,
