I tired to run windows update and turn my firewall back on and get error messages instead of running windows update and turning my firewall back on.
Windows Update: error code: 80246008
Windows Firewall can't change some of your settings. Error code 0x80070424
I read online that I need to make sure my BITS serivce is working. BITS serivce in Windows 7 in missing. I ran the microsoft fix it and it was NOT able to fix it.
I think my only option left is to restore my system. I prefer not restoring my computer. Can I download BITS without restoring my system?
If I restore my system, will I lose my files and software/programs? How

In Windows 7 how do I delete system error memory dump files?

On windows 7 I got "system error memory dump files" when I tried to use the disk cleaner. My computer is slowing and doesn't follow mouse arrow well.
Advice so far is to use "disk cleanup" to deleat these files however disk cleanup dialog doesn't offer the choice to deleate "system error memory dump files" so what should I do?

Windows 7 Aero Disabled - How can I enable it again?

I purchased a new HP Envy 15 which had Windows 7 installed in it. Aero was activated. A few days later, Aero has been somehow disabled and I can't activate it again. I used the Troubleshooting utility in Windows 7 for Aero -- it says that nothing is wrong.
I also tried un-checking and checking the various options in the visual effects menu.
Can somebody please help me? I'm not sure when or how Aero was disabled; the computer did crash and went blank once, and I had to reboot. I'm not sure if that disabled Aero.

This worked perfectly!!
I will add though, that before you open CMD, that you right click on it and select 'Open as Administrator'.
Again, this fixed my Aero issue.
I accidentally stopped the dwm.exe in the tack manager. Just follow the steps provided by Renjith and you can get your colors working again.

Yesterday, i tried to install lepord transformation on my windows 7 laptop. which i was able to install corrently but after restarting my computer i couldn't open my computer window. so, i uninstalled the lepord transformation software. but since then my
taskbar, and comptuter view has changed to old style ( looks like windows 2000). not like windows 7 anymore. even when i am changing the themes its not getting changed to windows 7 view. i just found out after exploring all the help options the aero view is
dissabled but its not giving me any option to enable it......... please help me to get my windows 7 view back

System Restore but after it, it says:
