Windows 7 Sleep mode issue
location:

Hello,
First of all - can anyone answer me on wich e-mail adress should I send all of my reports to Microsoft regarding Windows 7 problems that I encountered ?
Second, here is the problem wich was very annoying but I did solve it so my point is to warn Microsoft about this so they can fix it in future Windows update or Service Packs for Windows 7.
When you are using (for example I used "High Performance" Power Plan) and in advanced options of any of Power Plans you let option - "Hard disk - Turn off hard disk after" to be turned ON (for example if you make your hard disk turn off after 15 minutes) you will have some serious trouble.
This was happening:
In Windows Vista - all worked well. I would put my PC in s

Windows 7 Compatibility Mode makes game run as windowed
location:
8forums.com - date:
May 21, 2013
Hi,
Recently i have tried using D3DOverrider in skyrim, but it seems that if i try to run it as windows 7 compatibility mode, it forces the game to run windowed (not aero windowed, but basic mode). I have tried changing the game's settings, pressing alt enter, ctrl enter, windows key F, nothing forces fullscreen.
And to run D3Doverrider, i have to run the program as windows 7 compatibility mode.
What do i do? I have tried disabling DPI scaling, running it as windows 95 through vista mode, taking ownership of the folder, running it as admin, among a LOT of things.
Any suggestions?

Everyone knows, by now, that XP Mode in Win 7 does not support 3D API - Direct X. Will someone please tell microsoft to upgrade its XP Mode so that it does !!! That way we dont have to throw away older XP versions of AutoCAD, 3DStudio MAX or SOLID Works
3D etc... which would be nice. THx.

Windows 7 XP Mode
location:
winsecrets.com - date:

Some months ago, I followed Fred Langa's excellent step-by-step guide to "Using Window 7's XP Mode" and have been using XP Mode for two programs - MS Money 2002 and MS Front Page 2002. I have found that the programs take quite a time to load and any Internet activity in XP Mode is very slow. Also, I keep getting told that the memory and disk activity is high. Is this normal for a Windows Virtual PC?
Any advice on how to improve performance and other people's experience in operating Windows 7 XP Mode would be welcomed.

Hello,
I am trying to install a brand new pair of B&W MM-1 speakers. The manufacturers instructions call for installing drivers using the Control Panel's Device Manager. When I right-click on the device and select the drivers to install, per the manufacturer's

How to Add Windows 7 "Safe Mode with Command Prompt" to Windows Boot Manager Screen

I tried doing this, it successfully copied, but it would not add to msconfig, I assume you can only have 1 Safe Mode version at a time.
