  I installed Windows 7 Ultimate as an upgrade to Windows Vista Home Premium on HP notebook, 32 bit.  It was successful.  Then installed Microsoft Office Home and Business 2010 as an upgrade to Microsoft Office 2007; and encountered an error during setup (Error 1311).  I downloaded a Microsoft Fixit solution from Microsoft help, and computer and programs worked.  Next day, turned on the computer and got a blue screen.  Ran Startup repair a couple of times and not able to open Windows 7.  Repair message:  "Root cause found:  A patch is preventing the system from starting.  Repair action: System files integrity check and repair result failed; Error Code = 0x490."  I have tried o

I purchased the Student Copy of Windows 7 on the last day of the promotion last year. I installed it (had Vista before) and used it for a few days, but then it quit working and goes to the startup repair, claiming there is no operating system. I do not have a disc.

i have windows 7 & the updates as installed messenger 11, now i can't sign, i can sign into mail. i have restored my computer to a day before the updaate was installed & it worked again, but because the update was an (important one) it's been installed again & i have the same problem. i did a troubleshoot & it said incorrect IP address, but i click repair & it fixed it & i just get error code 8100030d. it can't be my laptop blocking it since the old one worked. i'm not in the know when it comes to computers i'd be really grateful for any help, thank you

Windows 7 Error Code 9C48 for IE

Okay so Windows has been unable to perform the update: Windows Internet Explorer 9 for Windows7 for x64-based Systems  ..........  36.7 MB   If this update is just downloading the program, I understand why it would fail, given that I already installed IE9 manually before it came in a Windows Update. I would however like it to acknowledge that it's installed then, and just stop trying to do an update I don't need.   If it's an update for IE9, I'd prefer to have it solved. Any help in this regard would be very appreciated. Thanks!

Unable to update Windows 7, error code 8024402F, followed by error code 80072EFD. Windows Update will no longer update automatically. I could update it manually once, but since then it will neither update automatically nor manually. I have tried all the things suggested by Microsoft, and several suggested by others, but to no avail.  I first received error code 8024402F, then after trying to solve the problem received error code 80072EFD. Getting desparate!

Can't connect Bluetooth Headphones to Windows 7. Error code-0x80004005

These are the bluetooth headphones - Creative 51EF0450AA001 WP-300 Wireless Headphones: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics I bought a cheap USB bluetooth dongle to enable my PC to connect to my bluetooth devices and these headphones don't work. My PC pairs fine with my phone so I don't think anything is wrong with the USB. It discovers the headphones when I try to add a bluetooth devices and recognises them as headphones but when I go to add the device I get this error: "Adding the device failed resulting in an unknown error. The reported error code is:0x80004005." I've had a look and I've read a few things about Windows 7 not supporting A2DP but I don't really understand what to do about it. Any help would be great, thanks!

Hi i am trying to help my friend out he bought his son a emachines em350 netbook with windows 7 installed. For some reason it got messesd up and he tried to do a system restore. Since then when you try to boot up its saying input a password to unlock the harddrive which we dont know. After you input wrong code 3 times you get option to continue which takes you to black screen saying no bootable device detected press any key to continue. Next i tried to do clean install with windows 7 from a usb this goes fine untill it asks for missing cd/dvd driver i have found away round this which is to select cancel then when back on install now screen swap the usb to another port and continue.
