My Bluetooth doesn't work on Windows 7 x64 Professional

Hi,
I have a Sony Vaio VGN-FW290J laptop with built in bluetooth (Broadcom Widcomm, Alps, something like that, some drivers had the former name, others the last one). I use Windows 7 x64 Professional and it seems that the bluetooth doesn't work. After the fresh install (few months ago) it worked. Meanwhile, I didn't use it because I didn't need it. But today I tried to use it but it can't find my device (mobile phone). I tried with many device, but it seems that the bluetooth doesn't scan for devices. I can't also see it from other device (my phone doesn't see it). I tried three driver versions but none of them does anything more than what I have described above. The install does all good, but after that, nothing work. I see the BT ico

Wireless network issues with all devices (Xbox, PS3, Android phones) but not with Windows 7 desktop computer
location:
microsoft.com - date:
December 18, 2012
I apologize ahead of time that this will be lengthy. We have a comcast Motorola cable modem connected to a NetGear N600 router. We currently use Windows 7 on our desktop and also connect an Xbox (hardwired to router), a PS3 (wifi), and two android phones
(wifi), to our home network. For about 8 months this worked perfectly. Then suddenly all of our devices EXCEPT the desktop started intermittently dropping the wifi signal. Sometimes it would automatically reconnect after various timeframes, other times
all the devices would recognize the network, but could not obtain ip addresses (based on their own error reporting). Reseting the modem and router would fix the issue temporarily. Comca

Can I connect my BSH10 bluetooth headset to Windows 7 laptop via A2DP?
location:
microsoft.com - date:
February 4, 2013
I have a Bluetooth stereo headset, model is BSH10 which is fairly common but not made by a large brand.
It works brilliantly with my Android tablet and iPhone, and did with my old Blackberry. It will not work with my Windows 7 laptop's built-in Bluetooth, and I cannot find any way of updating my drivers to use A2DP. Is there any way?
This really looks bad for Microsoft, that your two biggest competitors connect within seconds and I have taken hours on the internet to find a solution and I still can't connect Windows.

Cant remove 32-Bit Bluetooth driver on 64-Bit Windows 7
location:
microsoft.com - date:
December 29, 2011
Installed a third-party bluetooth driver for a Windows 7 64-bit after installation the driver and program both read 32-bit. After trying to check it with the Device Manager its a blank page icon that says Bluetooth Settings (32-bit). After trying to remove
with the add/remove program it didnt show up on the list and i cant open anything with right clicking it. Is there a way to remove this driver safely without dating the computer back, as i dont remember the specific date and i have programs that have been
installed after this incident that I would rather not have to install again?

Controling Playback of multiple audio programs simultaneously on multiple audio devices in windows 7
location:
microsoft.com - date:
July 23, 2010
My main Pc is in the living room. I have a Acer 22 inch LCD monitor and a Vizio 32 inch LCD TV hooked up to it. I have the on-board audio hooked up to a logitech 5.1 speaker setup, and a USB audio device connected to the TV so I can use the television's speakers.
Right now, I can play a video game (Such as Sims 3 or Blur)on my 22" while My GF watches HULU, Movies, or recorded TV shows from the PC on the 32" tv. The problems I face right now, is that I can only do playback on one audio device at a time- i.e. I can't
have House's audio come through my 5.1 and the T.V. speakers at the same time. It's one or the other when I go through the settings in control panel. Also, I'd

Unsupported devices can run windows 7!
location:
7forums.com - date:

Hi everyone! This is my first post so it probably won't be very interesting. But I wanted to share the fact that Windows 7 can be put on machines not supporting it. For example, my last desktop (of which I got rid of for reasons I'll discuss later) was a dell dimension 3000. It only supported Windows XP, so I had to use a separate computer to download the drivers for it (as none of the drivers were installed). Once on the computer, I simply ran all the drivers in compatibility mode. And this worked great to get my computer running but because it was running XP drivers, The computer didn't totally run well. On the other hand, my Moms Dell Optiplex 745 supports vista 32-bit, so I figured because vista and 7 are so similar, I'd upgrade

"Windows Features" dialog box is empty in Windows 7 when tried to change features
location:
microsoft.com - date:
February 16, 2011
Original title: Administrator Can't Access or Change Windows 7 Features
I am an adminustrator on the machine (Actually I am the only user, using the account used to install windows, the machine is at home)
I go to the control panel, and open 'Programs and Features'
I click on the link for 'Turn Windows Features on or off'
The dialog searches for a moment and then renders completely blank.
I suspect this is because of a permissioning issue given other weirdnesses happening (problems installing a couple of updates and other things)
I can do lots of other 'administration' tasks, install software, blah, blah.
thoughts?
