Reinstalled Windows 7-Certain devices not working
location:

First off i'm using an ASUS, Model: K53E laptop with Intel Core i3-2310 processor at 2.10GHz, 4GB of RAM, Windows 7 Professional 64bit.
What Happened: I was using my laptop fine for a few month now. I let a friend use it for a week and he "somehow" got a virus . I wasn't too stressed as i didn't have any personal information or anything important on it. So i reinstalled Windows using my flash drive, the iso from the Windows 7 Professional 64bit CD i had, and the Windows USB-DVD tool downloaded from Microsoft. I changed the boot priorities in BIOS to my USB drive, went through the installation setup and formatted all the partitions on my HDD and installed windows 7 professional 64bit. It loads up and for the most part works fi

Windows 7 taskbar icons disappear
location:
microsoft.com - date:
May 19, 2010
I have spent HOURS on virtually every help site for an answer to this problem. On various days (no pattern), when I start using computer (which is always on), all the icons from my taskbar have disappeared. I found one solution to the problem which is
to start task manager, end explorer.exe process, then run explorer.exe again. This brings back all the icons. But this is a tedious thing to do. And NO ONE has given any explanation for why this happens and what explorer.exe has to do with it. This happens
on my desktop which I upgraded to Windows 7 from Vista. My laptop, which came with Windows 7 installed, does not have this problem. I have run several virus programs; no viruses found. Is this a Windows 7 problem? a general Microsoft pro

Cloverdavid: I realize in one of these posts you (or someone else) assumed it was an application conflict (Avast?)... in case this is NOT the underlying issue, this may actually be what you're looking for (the Quick Launch task bar, rather than the icon

Media Sharing not working with Windows 7 (devices can 'see' library and music, but cannot 'play' the songs)
location:
microsoft.com - date:
November 1, 2009
I recently upgraded my Vista machine to Windows 7 Home Premium. I am now trying to set up my Roku and other PCs to be able to use my media library. Since my other PCs are not Windows 7, I have not formed a homegroup. From the Windows 7 machine, everything
appears to be OK. I can see the various devices, and assign the appropriate permissions. However, from the Roku and other PC, they are not able to play the music. What is strange is that they can 'see' the music and the library, however, they are not able
to actually play the music.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks!

I have just bought an HP Pavilion g6-2004tu Notebook PC. The bluetooth device as per the device manager is found to be working properly. However, when I try to add a device on bluetooth the process carries on without stopping or showing any device. The device
manager also shows an unknown PCI device and finding any driver for or identify. Sure would oblige any of you experts' help.
Thanx in advance.

Windows 7 Bluetooth Driver Issues

Hello,
I have found the below posting thorughout many forums on thew internet. Maybe it has been in this forum as well, I apologize if it has been and answered already. I am literally having the same problem as this person below. Except I am using a pc with Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit and the Rocketfish RF-MRBTAD bluetooth adapter. I installed the CD drivers that came with it and did everything the person mentioned below with no luck. Rocketfish help on the phone is useless. They just blame everything on Microsoft. The cd installed a bunch of bluetooth related files in the following path file:///C:/Program%20Files/WIDCOMM/Bluetooth%20Software/
However I can not add a bluetooth device to the add device option in control panel. Overall I wa

Feature Complaint: PlayTo doesn't support Windows 7 certified devices

Hardware
Computer #1: Microsoft Surface Pro, 128 gb
Computer #2: Dell OptiPlex slim tower
Home Theatre Receiver: Denon AVR-1713
Problem
At home, my wife and I love to stream music from our computers the surround speaker setup in our living room, which is adjacent to our kitchen and acts as the main living area in our home.
We have a "current generation" Denon receiver, certified for Windows 7. It supports DLNA and Apple AirPlay.
Starting with Windows 8, "PlayTo" does not work correctly to the receiver. Windows 8 added a form of "hardware DRM" where manufacturers need to recertify their devices for Windows 8. As far as I know, very few (no?) manufacturers have bothered to do this, instead

Windows 7 cannot discover any bluetooth devices
location:
microsoft.com - date:
March 24, 2011
Just bought myself a small micro bluetooth dongle by Bluesoliel. As soon as I plug it into my hp g60 laptop, the drivers installed automatically for windows to work with it. However when attempting to discover devices, it finds nothing, without giving
any verification as to if it is actually searching or not. I try to right click on the little bluetooth icon on the taskbar to open settings, but nothing happens and there is no option to open bluetooth settings in the control panel, and the devices and printers
section eternally loads. I know the device works with the bluesoliel software it came with, even with a downloaded Toshiba stack trial. There is clearly an issue with the windows bluetooth stack that I need fixed, I need to use the
