Windows 7 blue screen after Sleep
location:
microsoft.com - date:
January 24, 2012
Hi, this seems to be a common post in this forum and I was hoping someone could help me.
I have an old PC that has been running Windows 7 since launch with no problems. In the past few days in an effort to save power I have tried enabling Sleep. When I put my PC to sleep and wake it up quickly it seems to be OK but if I let it sleep for a few
hours/overnight it will usually give a blue screen at wakeup. After a reboot all is OK. It seems to do this with both sleep and hybrid sleep.
It does not seem to always leave a minidump file but I do have one from the past few days if anyone can advise how to analyse. I have not been able to see anything relevant in the event logs.
Suggestions?
Ashley

Help with Windows 7 Blue Screen Error 0x00000024 NTFS_FILE_SYSTEM
location:
microsoft.com - date:
April 2, 2013
Hi, I would like any advice or help that can be given with a BSOD problem I am having. At least once a day I have receiving a BSOD that is the error 0x24 NTFS_FILE_SYSTEM. I have also seen some errors related to ntoskrnl.exe but the majority are NTFS.
I've run checkdisk several times and there are no errors reported. However, each run does clean up some unused index entries and unused security descriptors.
This is happening on a 5 month old Dell Latitude laptop. I thought I had traced the issue to the Stexbar utility but I am still getting the crashes after uninstalling the program.
Details of the most recent crash are below (hopefully it displays correctly).
Thanks
Paul.
