Just read a ZDNet article re. need to delete Java due to huge number of exploitables. Although I respect ZDNet, I never proceed without checking with Loungers!
What say you?

Why can I only install Windows 7 32-Bit on my computer (after a factory reset) when I used to run Windows 7 64-Bit?
location:
microsoft.com - date:

I was running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit on my computer when it started malfunctioning. I factory reset instead of system restoring (my mistake) and realized I didn't have recovery disks. I downloaded a Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit iso and burned it
to a DVD. I tried installing it (A clean install with no partitions) on my computer but got the error "Windows setup cannot configure windows on this computer's hardware." I tried with SP1 and without it. Nothing worked. I finally decided to try a Windows
7 Home Premium 32-Bit disk to see if it would work...it did. I successfully installed 32-Bit Windows but I have 8GB of RAM so the 32-Bit OS is useless to me. I tried installing the 64-Bit version again (clean install) but it's still giv

older windows 7 computer downloads 10 Mbps all over the house. Does a boaster antenna help?. I have seen many complaints about windows 8, 64 bit download speeds. Help!!!

location:
winsecrets.com - date:
August 26, 2012
On Monday I am picking up my first Windows 7 computer---a Dell laptop. I have been using Windows XP computers until now, so I've come here to ask for any useful suggestions for setting it up.
The computer comes with Windows 7 Home Premium, which I'm going to upgrade to Ultimate, using "Windows Anytime Upgrade." I also has Microsoft Office Starter for which I'm getting the Product Key to convert to Office Home and Business. Anything I should be aware of when I do this? When I purchase the Windows 7 upgrade, will I have some kind of backup/reinstall option available? What about the Microsoft Office Home and Business? Will there be a reinstall option for that? Hopefully, I won't need to reinstall, but you never know.
I did purc
