BSOD sleep mode Windows 7 HDD [Solved?]
location:
7forums.com - date:
December 5, 2012
I just installed a new HP monitor and a new crucial SSD with Windows 8 so those recent driver installs may be related
With my Windows 7 HDD, when I recover from sleep mode I'm given a BSOD with a message about intelppm.sys file and stop error 0x0000007E. I tried renaming the intelppm.sys file to intelppm.bak but it didn't seem to resolve the issue
My other recent installations involve Dropbox, nvidia driver updates, new itunes, firefox update and uplay.
If it's worth noting, my Windows 8 SSD installation has no problem with sleep mode. Though I must have the settings different because with Windows 7 the sleep mode recovers from mouse and keyboard, the W8 only recovers if I hit the power button.
Thanks
edit: ok the new gigaby

Upgrading between Windows 7 versions
location:
7forums.com - date:
October 15, 2009
I would like to know what the chances are of being able to upgrade to the different versions of Windows 7. I was thinking of buying a computer with Windows Vista Home Premium, but I want to have Windows 7 Professional (or Ultimate). The reason for buying the computer with the home premium version is computer cost.
The computer qualifies for the upgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium, so is there a way where I can pay a little bit extra and get Windows 7 Pro or Ultimate? Does anyone know what the cost would be?
Thank you for your assistance!

Windows 7 and Windows 8 Install Help (Solved)
location:

I have Windows 7 Pro installed on C:\. I have a second D:\ drive that I run Linux on and have a Data partition. I would like to partition 100 gig for Windows 8 and install it there. Leaving Windows 7 untouched. On Windows 7 I use EasyBCD to boot to my linux partitions and would like to do the same for Windows 8. Has anyone one done this before. I want to try out Windows 8 Before I decided to change.
