Where does the Windows 8 download file get saved after the download completes?

I've downloaded the Windows 8 Pro upgrade, but after uninstalling 2 apps as requested before the upgrade, the upgrade will not restart, nor can I find the download file on my PC. How can I restart the upgrade?

Where to get Windows 8 non-upgrade for an existing PC?

I have found many offers for Windows 8 Upgrades, and for Windows 8 pre-installed on new PCs.... but it seems difficult to find a full-licence Windows 8 for an existing PC which doesn't have a previous version of Windows on it. I have installed the Enterprise Evaluation on an old Shuttle PC, and it runs acceptably well, but will soon expire. I do not have a 'spare' WinXP or Win7 licence to upgrade, so I will need a full-licence version of Windows 8, but such does not appear to be generally available - not for download from Microsoft, certainly. Amazon have an 'OEM' version for £80; is that what I need? Or should I find an XP CD on Ebay, and 'upgrade from that'? I assume I wouldn't have to install it, but just 'show' Windows 8 the XP

First allow me to admit I am fairly new to Windows 8 (as I am sure most are) but have been a Windows junkie since the early 90's so have been quite satisfied with the "user-friendliness" level of the operating system so far. Lately, I have been using the "Video" app quite frequently since it has been my primary source of movies and TV shows over the years through my XBOX 360. Now when I purchase a particular movie or TV episode/series, I am usually given a notice that the movie/show will not be available for download or stream after a particular date. Now this is OK for some titles (especially TV shows that I rarely watch more than once) however for most, I prefer to download them so I may have them forever.

I purchased Win 8 pro and chose the install from desktop option. The install failed. I just get a flashing screen when it boots. I need to find where the install file or image is saved so I can make a bootable usb disk or re-download the file from Microsoft.
I have booted from the other hard drive in my laptop running release preview and looked all over the drive I downloaded Win 8 pro to and can't find it anywhere. I have the product key from the purchase of win 8 pro. I can't find anywhere on the Microsoft
site to re-download Win 8 pro without paying for it again.

HI all,
on the first Windows 8 Preview I created a Lock screen Wallpaper. Now on every machine i'm using Windows 8 it uses that cool Lock Screen Wallpaper. But only on my account. I want to use it for another account, but I cant find it anywhere locally.
On every (new) machine I logon with my MS Account, that cool Lock Screen Wallpaper appears, so it must be stored somewhere?
Anyone knows where to find or how I can retrieve my current Windows 8 Lock Screen Wallpaper so i can use it on other accounts?

I purchased Windows8 + DVD back up CD from online. I received an email from Microsoft that my product was shipped and it will arrive in 5 to 7 business days. I waited for 2 weeks but I still didn't get my DVD back Up CD. can you tell me contact number
or email so that I can contact and solve the problem please?

I recently purchased windows 8 pro 32 bit through my school using dreamspark. I have downloaded windows 8 pre release version and the file through dreamspark. Both times the file has been corrupt. i Have downloaded it mutiple time from each source. I have
a key through dreamspark and I would just like to be able to download and iso and put it on a disc to install it correctly. I can't seem to find where to get a good download of it. I have really been wanting to upgrade this vista computer to something newer
and better and have been trying and trying to get this to work. Thanks for the help in advance!

Where is my Windows 8 Pro Media Center Key?

I have requested the Windows 8 Pro Media Center key for free from the Microsoft site, waited 72 hours (actually a little over, I was asleep) and still no key. I checked my spam, inbox, and trash folders and nothing is there.
I then requested it using 5 different e-mail addresses, everything from Yahoo to Gmail to Hotmail to my own work e-mail address and waited another 72 hours and still nothing!
I understand that Microsoft has a lot of demand for these, but I have to question if something is broken in the system. It states that we will have it within 72 hours and it has been well over that and still nothing.
Please anyone at Microsoft that can help I would greatly appreciate it, I bought the
