Hello there. So I have a little problem. I got two dvd/r cds here and i'm trying to burn a 50 mb folder into the disc. Its for a project, which is due tomorrow. Th folder is some C# stuff and a word document. Now everything I try to burn anything onto the CD. It works fine until it gets to the part where it says" 30 seconds left" and then it hangs and goes unresponsive. So I have to close.
Does anyone know what is going on or tell me how I can just put these 50 mb folder into these CDS?
Thanks in advance

Extremely Slow CD/DVD/HD Read/Write/Copy Performance Using Windows 7 Ultimate
location:
microsoft.com - date:
May 1, 2010
The PC's basic HW/SW profile is as follows: It was recently custom built using an Intel Extreme DP55KG motherboard and a Core i5 CPU. It has 4 GBs of DDR3 memory, a 500-GB HD by WD and a 16x DVD drive by HP. Both drives are in the SATA format. The OS used
is the 64-bit Windows 7 Ultimate. Essentially, a 64-bit PC running a 64-bit OS.
Given all the excitement surrounding the migration from Windows XP to Windows 7 and especially going from the 32-bit operating system and the CPU to the 64-bit versions, I find the read, write and copying speeds of Windows 7 quite disappointing. In short,
I have found the data transfer rates, regardless of the medium used, to be lousy. I hope, after this post, someone can point me in the right direction so

Recover Windows 8.1 Pro upgrade using Windows 7 ISO
location:
microsoft.com - date:
January 6, 2014
I have Windows 8.1 Pro that was originally upgraded to Windows 8 Pro from Windows 7 taking advantage of the cheap upgrade offer. My hard disk has recently died (although I can still run in safe mode for now) and I need to replace it. I have a system image
backed up using Windows 8.1 backup, but I have no Windows 8.1 recovery disk.
I do have my Windows 7 installation DVD. Is it possible to restore Windows 8.1 image onto my new hard disk using the Windows 7 installation disk?
Or can I use the recovery partition on my old hard disk to run the Windows 8.1 system restore (It's a Dell computer)?
If not, how can I get Windows 8.1 upgrade installed on my replacement hard disk without having to purchase it again?

Using Windows 7, how do I run CHKDSK?
location:
microsoft.com - date:
February 27, 2011
I've searched throughout the Control Panel and it's submenus and options but can find no means to initiate a scan for disk errors!
I did find chkdsk.exe in the Windows\System32 folder but when I double click it, the only response is a flash of the DOS {black, command prompt} screen! Is that the correct response?!
Is there no way to run [schedule] a scan disk [for errors] as there has been in earlier versions of Windows?!
